Hello
Just discovered this thread, I wish that I had seen it years ago.
I am coming to the end of a DMP with payplan. I started on it August 2007 and owed just over 16K. Have paid off around 14.5K and hopefully it will be paid off in Jan 2012.
So glad that I have found this thread, will be keeping a close eye on it from now on :-)0 -

Then you just don't know what you've missed
Welcome to one of the friendliest (and hopefully helpful) threads for anyone on a DMP.
But you won't be here soon will you? Not long for you to go now.
Well done you, sounds like you have done so well and come so far!
Welcome.

Quick update to my F + F's to 3 creditors.
1)Letter lost by Post Office
2) Big fat NO
3) Phone call received 'passed to managers' - nothing else heard
Was going to be elderly when I finished my DMP but at this rate I'll need to be Methuselah
Onwards and upwards though! Hope everyone has had a good BH weekend.

Hi All,
Monthly update as usual. It is nice to see so many newbies about and dealing with all life throws at them!!!!
Signature duly updated and starting to feel like each month I'm making a little more headway than the month before. Still dislike Hellifax as they will not budge on the interest thing. Have written to them again but dont hold out much hope. One thing is for sure I will be debt free before they are:D
Continue to squirrel away slowly as determine to try for this F&F by the end of the year. Wrote again to Santander and they have know said they cant offer any F&F after a few months ago offering 75%. I know they do not have to accept but it sometimes feels that they have no set rules on these things and it depends on who answers the phone/letter on the day!!!
Never mind, keep your chin up all and enjoy the rest of the Bank Holiday.

Hi All, not sure if anyone even remembers me its been that long, lol the last time I was on was before my little girl was born in Jan and I had just set the DMP up. So where do I start, I had 1 debt written off by Lloyds it was for £160 as they totally cocked my DMP payments up so as a gesture of goodwill they wiped it I will add it might have something to do with the FSA,lol but that's still £160 not there woo hoo. Might have to reduce payment though as its looking unlikely I'll be going back to work as my other daughter starts school and it would cost more for them both to be in childcare. Last few months have been tight as both children are growing so fast and shopping has gone up loads even the lower brands so really need to speak to them, Im not looking forward to it to be honest as Lloyds have just written to say my agreement with them is up so Ive rung them and they've said as long as I keep paying the same amount now they will extend it so we'll have to see. Lloyds also sent me a letter saying if I give them £17200 they will wipe the rest of the debt, lol I wouldnt be on a DMP if I had £17k,lol, Well thats just a little update on me I'll pop on more regulary to see everyone0

Hi all, just popped in for a little rant about Natwest. Does anyone have any dealings with them. Over £3k of my debt is with them and they keep adding interest. I haven't hadstatements offthem since my dmp started in 2008 and they never reply to a letter. i might complain to the fos about them as that usually does the job. a few months ago cccs wrote to tell me natwest no longer accepted the agreement (as if they ever did) and that my debt is being passed to a dca but i haven't heard anything since. i just wish they'd bloody do it so the interest would stop going up. grrrr!DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

HI, thinking about trying fir some F&F and was wondering how much you owe and how much you're offering if you don't mind me asking. I've got a few debts around the £100 mark and was wondering what id be looking at......if you don'tmind me asking....:o
Hi
Please forgive me but I'm wanting to play the cards close to my chest on this one.
I'm feeling a bit neurotic at the moment. Got this image in head of creditors keeping track on here, and going 'Ah-Ha' - got you now!'
If it helps you, a bit of general history - my DMP started over two years ago. Have 3 creditors, and managed to increase repayment amounts very slightly at each review. These F + F's are to ALL - each amount has been offered to all creditors fairly, pro-rata.
As a guide I've seen on another site that 10% could be a starting point. I believe as a general rule around 40-50% might be looked at. I know some on here have paid higher.
Suffice it to say my offers were more than 10% but less than 40%......
I will keep you all updated, when things become clearer. But I would say (as per Yellow Pinkys post a wee while ago) it is going to be a long, drawn out, protracted, messy affair till we reach conclusion.
Good luck to you if you decide to go ahead. let us know how things go for you.
And GOOD LUCK with NatWest

Thanks so much for the reply twitty. I think I'll keep whittling away for a while yet but may try for f&f on a few little ones. Good Luck and let us know how you get onDMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0
