Wee tip. If you go to CCCS online, click DMP login, then forgot password, it will take you through security and you will be able to see your stuff online, magic!

Hello everybody,
I have been making a token payment of £5 to my creditors. Until Dmp starts.
Have been reading that I should have set a letter with this advising of dmp. I thought pay plan would do this, but they are waiting for first payment.
First payment due 1st March. Should I send a letter in meantime- PLS advice.
(any templates)
Thanks guys0 -

We did send letters notifying our creditors of our DMP along with our token payments. We had a sample letter with our stuff from the CCCS (it's not on this laptop for me to post). We just said we are entering into a DMP with the CCCS, gave our reference number and explained we couldn't afford the contractual payment so enclosed a token payment as a postal order.
We posted these recorded delivery.
Good luck x0 -
Does anyone know if the CCCS tell you how many payments you have to make or when your debt free day is?
Hi Sarahowen
If CCCS is acting on your behalf and your DMP is up and running and you have been given a DMP Ref No. you will be able to go online and access this information and see your statements and also what your debt free date is at the CCCS website.
Hope this helps.

I'm still getting charged interest by tesco CC so wrote to them to ask if them would stop, have this letter back todayThank you for your letter, the contents of which have been noted.
Although we are willing to help, it is not our normal policy to stop interest charges, other than in exceptional circumstances.
If you are unable to mantain payments on your account, please contact us to agree a suitable repayment program.
I trust that the above information clarifies matters.

Hi all
I haven't been on here for ages, but I'm thinking of signing up for a DMP. We can make our minimum payments, but have nothing left after wev'e paid them, and we have no life. Also, we have a leaking flat roof on our extension that needs fixing and the buildings insurance won't cover it. So basically, need to find £5k to do that.
So I'm thinking a DMP may be the way forward to repay the debts and allow us to have a life, but wonder what to do about the £5k?
Thing is, we have a mortgage and the fixed term comes up in Jan 2012 - if we're on a DMP does that mean we can't keep our mortgage? If so, it may not be possible for us as we want to keep our mortgage. I've read lots about DMP but can't seem to establish what it does to your credit rating.
Thanks in advance

Its funny really as it was because I couldn't make the tesco payments that I needed to go on the DMP and now I'm paying more than the minimum payments although only £40 is actual coming off each month because of the interest:(

strange because tesco was one of the first to stop all interest charges on my DMP and no hassle or letters/phone calls from them whatsoever. creditors seem to be totally inconsistent with how they treat people on DMPs. Hopefully they will see sense soon.DeeBee0 -

I sent a cheque with the giro slip found on statements to each creditor. Relied on PayPlan to notify them.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -
Not necessarily for contracts, but section four says that the 'airtime provider' will carry out the credit checks.
