Latest News!
Well, Payplan got back to me with an update with all my balances - As said previously, my dfd was next month (after 5 years with Payplan), but due to added charges etc, I knew this wasn't true, and was sure it would be for at least another 2-3 years. Well, my dfd is now 14 months away, sooner if we buckle down even more for the next year. And every single debt has the interest frozen, so this date shouldn't change now. Yay!!!! So excited. I said to hubby we should maybe try and pay more, coz i'd rather have a rubbish year, coz then we're even closer to being £700 better off each month!!! Yay!!!
The end is in sight to not having a single debt in our name, and having all that extra cash for the baby fund!
Congratulations Mozzy, pleased for you. Get the folic acid out. Best of luck on your last leg.

Hi everyone just wanted to post a quick message to say I made my first DMP payment to payplan in November and so far 12 out of 14 creditors have accepted the offers and three months on the letters and calls have stopped and I am finally starting to look forward again!I couldnt have done it without all of the posts on here which I spent hours wading through before I took the plunge.
So a big thanks and good luck to everyone on a DMP!
I'm in a good mood todayxo

Enjoy the weekend

( i know about the default issue) i mean about court etc?
also one more thing i,ve tried the national debt line template about stopping intrest, but they havent got in touch with me its been over 2 months i think, is there any other template i can use and any advice on what to write or add to the template? thanks all
Agree with the other NG, sounds generated, just send polite letter I'm on a DMP blah blahbathanwells wrote: »More post this morning!!!
Mbna didn't accept my dmp (no surprise from what ive read on here!)
Capital one did1 and a very nice letter saying sorry for my situation!
Just Hfc, Kays catalougue, Santander overdraught and loan, Tesco loan and Vanquis to go.
Has anyone had any dealings with the above on DMPS do they generally accept or is it default and DCA city for me soon!!
All random Bathanwells, somethink this is to stop people 'playing the system'. Just keep plugging away, it will settle down.

Hi to all
Will just be drifting in and out of here for a while, but hoping things will go well for everyone.
Thanks again for your lovely support after my recent down messages. Maybe it was a premonition, because my Mum died less than 36 hours after those dark feelings hit me.
So, I will still try to keep up with my fellow DMPers because it will help to keep me together.
And if you've still got your Mum - love her lots!

Twitty - Can I join in the group hug. That's the sort of thing that's really important, not money. I lost my Mother a long time ago, trust me, she will always be by your side, I promise. HHx0

Please don't put your council tax on barclaycard. They will a charge you interest and you could get into a lot of trouble for doing it knowing you are about to embark on DMP.
My advise is don't pay council tax. Either catch up next month or have a plan to repay over a number of months or have an extra month of tokens so you can have an emergency fund built up. Most of us that had no or 1 month of token payments said we wish we'd have had one or 2 months or them if we had our time again so we had an emergency fund to fall back on.
I agree. We missed a month of council tax at the beginning of our DMP but the council were really understanding and just spread the missed payment over the remaining months so we hardly noticed it.Debt free Olympic Contender # 134DMP Mutual Support Thread member # 250DMP March 2010 [STRIKE]£9786 [/STRIKE] now £9900
