Hi Ian, I take it you're not into Strictly either!! Good advice as usual, thanks, I think it's not too far into the middle of the month for a wee glass of Asda Sauvignon Blanc, I'm going to have a few of those tonight! Thank Goodness Harry Hill is back (you've got to have a system!) I've always wondered who is better, CCCS or Payplan, there's only one way to sort it out,"'fight!!!"
Hope you are well,

Oh Lord, you're at it again!
If it wasn't for all the plonk swilled in a month the DFD could be set a couple of years earlier
I'm on the red, next round is on you :rotfl:
Happy Weekend to all. There is still life after a DMP!

Hi ya girls, I avoid Sat night TV if I can avoid it. I've also just come back from visiting a friend in Liverpool and was up drinking till 5.30am. Up again at 9 to catch the train home, and I'm about ready to turn in, lol.DMP mutual support thread No: 2430

Never thought I'd be looking forward to being a dusty file in a basement but can't wait!!
Tis true!
After a while you get bored with the double glazing, insulation, hearing aid circulars etc dropping through the letterbox and look for a bit of exitement.
It really is so frightening at start up, but honest, for most of us it does just settle.
PS - Never meant to cause insult by saying we would become 'dusty files in a basement' but now I have this horrible picture in my head of row upon row of DMP people lined up covered in cobwebs. Hammer Horror movie tonight anyone? :rotfl:

You naughty, naughty boy!
Glad you had a good time!!!
I think your post just captures the good times of debt repayment. Yea we're in the mire, paying back what we owe gradually but you can still have a life.
Can I interest you in some cheap paracetamol for the hangover?

It was quite a cheap trip to be honest, and sorta embodies how little you can spend.
Went to a charity gig Thurs night (4 bands for a fiver), then Fri I did free touristy stuff (Albert Dock, Cavern Club, Cathedral etc), then a houseparty at night.
The train up there from London cost me a fiver (through megabus), and a score coming back.
Hope everyone is well!DMP mutual support thread No: 2430 -

Brill! You are a shining example of money saving righteousness
Now go to bed before you fall down!

Add me to the club too....I have about £100 left over, and with that I need to pay the council tax, AND go to a wedding in Newcastle next week!
Still, I seem to manage (just about!) from one month to the next...I was originally with Financial Helpline, but moved over to Payplan 10 months ago, and it's nice to see the debt shrink slightly quicker!0 -
Had a bit of a set back yesterday. Car needed new brake discs and pads at its MOT yesterday. Luckily I had cancelled my sharesave at work so I had some cash to pay for it although it was supposed to be the money for the pushchair for baby. So now I have shiny new brakes but no money again for baby stuff. It just feels like 1 step forwards and 2 back at the moment all the time. We were really hoping we'd won the euromillions, had even started planning what to do with the money but that didn't happen.
On the bright side we have done all the paperwork for the new bank account and should have that all set up in a week apparently so I can start moving the DDs etc. Will be a nice feeling to be in credit on the account, been fighting for so long just to stay within the OD limit, will be nice to kind of put that behind us, let the DMP deal with that and see the numbers in black again. I know in reality we are still massively in the red but psychologically it sounds nice!
Also, only 9 more weeks at work so only 9 more weeks of work stress, debt stress coming to an end and we can start looking forward to a fresh start for the new year and a new baby.
Thanks to everyone for your support, there's no way I'd have been brave enough to do this on my own and I don't even care that my credit file now says I have missed payments on it!0
