    Hi All

I have made my second payment and can start to see the way forward!!

I am after some valuable advice, barclaycard are charging me 3% do u think i should write to them and request that it be stopped? If so is there a template i could use?

The worst of the bunch have been citi financial oh my god they been phoning every day!!! they requested that i pay £50 and that if i did i could continue paying the reduced amount through cccs. They said if i didnt they would issue me a default and pass it on. Needless to say i told them no i wouldnt be paying £50 and told them to stop phoning me each day or i would take action. I havnt heard from them since!!!!

So far so good hope everyone else is doing ok

    Morning everyone! How is everyone?

Feeling a bit more positive today but impatient to hear something back from someone. Even if its a phonecall to say they won't accept my DMP or something!! At least I'd know things were moving on. CCCS and all the creditors should have received my paperwork and letters on Tuesday/Wednesday. How long before anything else happens? Is it worth phoning CCCS to check they have everything? So far the only thing I have heard is a text from Virgin to say my direct debit has been returned. I paid them £30 as a token payment instead a few days before so if they call I'll just tell them that. We have also managed to negotiate with the council tax arrears collectors to take a reduced payment so that should help.

Good luck to everyone else who is getting on the road now. I don't think I could have done it without the support and information on this forum.

When I first started my DMP I didn't hear from a lot of my creditors immediately. Most wrote a letter 2 or 3 weeks later saying they had accepted DMP. Once they are dealing with cccs or payplan creditors tend to stop hassling so much. You don't need to phone anyone at moment. Good luck with it all :)

We have made 3 payments but are still waiting to hear something from Nat West. In the meantime others starting their DMP journey after us seem to be getting their payments accepted much quicker and interest frozen. Wondered if thats because we consolidated in the past so only have 3 creditors -two very large?

Some news. I wrote a complaining letter on the advice of forum members to Bank of Irelend/Post Office who were lumping on big charges. We had also had a stroppy letter from their debt collection agency Anyway I haven't heard back except to say my 'complaint' was in the system. But I have noticed that the payment is now showing as 'accepted' on our payplan/justabank page. I realise this doesn't mean they'll stop interest but is that a step in the right direction? I hope so.
Come on Nat West put me out of my misery!

Hi everyone, first time on this thread. We are about to start a DMP with CCCS. With have today sent out letters to our creditors with a £1.00 token payment. My question is almost daily we are getting a text from Halifax regarding our £1300 overdraft which states that while we are over our arranged overdraft we will be charged £5.00 per day!!! If they don't agree our DMP how long will it be before they may stop interest if at all? Also if some of our creditors don't send a statement would CCCS accept just account numbers and approximate balances from us as we want our DMP to start by 1st November. Thanks for any advice you can offer.
    :( Halifax Loan £6,511, Halifax O/D £1,300
Next Catalogue £576.66, Capital One £397.31
Vanquis £266, Marshall Ward £656.04, Argos Card £1300.:(

Halifax did this to me at the start too, took them about a month, they never acknowledged us just quietly stopped charges.

Hi thanks for your reply - i'm just panicking at the thought of £5.00 per day!! I think probably the waiting is just as bad as the LBM. Thanks again. :)
