    I still reckon Spain!
  • Pixie, keep putting the football results on. My students are amazed i know something about the World Cup and it is due to all of you.

Hey I switched channels last night and Cameroon were playing. Nice socks!!! So maybe i am still in the world cup? I am sure a newspaper said they were the first team out???

You really don't know anything about football do you, SW?? :rotfl:

Cameroon were the first team out of the World Cup (last Saturday evening) because, statistically, they couldn't get enough points to come first or second in their group. They still had to play their last match because the result could've affected the other teams, though it didn't because Holland were already through.
  • I got a funny text about the World Cup this morning but not sure if I'd be allowed to put it on here (could possibly be construed as rascist)

I hate to say it but I think you might be right Niddy. Brazil are a fantastic team.

I think it comes from the chanting - it fits the rhythm better to say En-ger-land than just England.
