Lost money on tickets on ebay

Before everyone screams at me, yes I know my fault, blah blah lost £34 on 2 tickets from what I paid for them plus the £5 postage cost so £39 can I not sell them? Can I do something? I know should have put a reserve on, you win some you loose some, know all that now, hindsight is a wonderful thing but all the other tickets went for a fair decent price so thought mine would also but alas for me no....so do I have to just put up and shut up?:D

I know all that just asking what can I do, are there any rules and regulations or are they all in the favour of the buyer and I have nothing?

The rules are quite fair and actually about equal. If you refuse to sell the buyer can't make you but you will get a neg and you lose your listing and FVFs. If you try and relist and buyer is cross enough he may decide to do some auction wrecking, it is very rare but buyers don't like to feel cheated.

I know what you are saying, it is all my fault, I appreciate that, just not flush and can't afford to loose that amount of money that is why I listed them in the first place to get the money back to put food on the table, I so wanted to go myself but saw a way of getting some money in this month that is very tight and now feel sick I lost so much of it by practically giving them away, even if I had just got back what I paid that would have been lovely but a loss is very had on the 9th June with 3 weeks to go to pay day:D

it really annoys me when sellers dont go through with a sale because the item didnt get high enough but if your that unhappy back out of the sale and sell them on another username, Im not saying its the right thing to do and ive never done it.

Not awfully useful advice though is it? Seller then loses his original listing and FVFs, gets a neg on original account and if buyer is still in the market for the tickets could well be spotted as the same seller and auction wrecked. The OP even on a different account (and many of us do have more than one selling account) still has all the same details. Who's to say they will go for any more the second time, especially on a lesser used iD, the OP would either have to spend more on listing fees or gamble again on a low start.

That's the beauty of gambling, you don't win them all. You gambled saving a few pence on listing fees or placing a reserve and that gamble hasn't paid off. If you try and wriggle out of this it is likely to just cost you a great deal more.

Don;t forget to use special delivery BTW on the tickets, you don't want them to get lost leaving you with no PO insurance as tickets aren't covered in the standard mail.

Recorded and special are not the same, it needs to go special delivery and if you cna keep it below 100g it will be £5.05. If it does stray over the 100g then it still will only be £5.50.

I put £5.75 for recorded guaranteed next day delivery signed for, that is safe?

You are mixing up two things here. Recorded/signed for is postage cost +74p, has no guaranteed delivery date, only covers up to 41 pounds and does not cover tickets at all. Special Delivery guarantees next day delivery, covers tickets and up to much higher insurance levels.

For tickets it has to be Special Delivery.
