@ tabytha, it's not stealing as the price is zero & the goods are handed over by Argos, so how is it stealing! Your only jealous cos you haven't got one

Just been to Barnsley (Cortonwood) - got one MP3 (checked via stock checker and it said none in stock until Monday but when adding to my order via the pay machine it let me buy one)
Have now reserved another item (a gift I would have been buying someone for Christmas, not the cheapest thing in the store) and will be collecting later along with another MP3 - they are not the best in the world but my two boys (6 and 4) LOVE music but their CD players burn batteries like they are going out of style so these will be very welcome at Christmas

There was one left in Prescot last night, around 7pm-ish. My son tried to get it along with some light bulbs but was caught out. They said he had to buy a mobile phone if he wanted the mp3 player, and asked where he got the item number from. He just shrugged and said "the internet". They gave him a full refund for it though, a massive 0.00 :rotfl:

Explained it to my work mates and they all got the remaining 3

got 2 this morning in droylsden - with a pack of AAA batteries - £2.49.

then went back an hour later for another 2 plus batteries. xmas pressies sorted for some of DD`s friends now.

I was buying something anyway in Argos, so tried the code. It worked, 7 in stock. But then on collecting the assistant went to fetch the manager, who explained they'd had an e-mail from HO to watch out for this. Very nice about it, but must admit I did feel a bit like a shoplifter...

After the way the !!!!!!s treated me tonight I don't care if you call it stealing, pathetic or anything else you want to call it.
I reserved one of the RO items from the Oxford store, drove 1/2 an hour there after work, waited another half an hour to be told they couldn't find it, then waited for my refund, then drove half an hour home. Totally wasted my evening for nowt. Doubtless someone on the staff had that for themselves ages ago!
To make it worse they didn't even offer me a free MP3 player by way of compensation
