Just to add i did sell once to italy and i got the dreaded 'item not recieved' email i did ask the buyer to wait till the end of the week and haven't heard anything since. I assume it did turn up in the end. I still haven't blocked italy yet though i'll pay for it i'm sure lol i'd say 40% off my missing items are/were going to spain.

2 days ago I had an email from Italy about an item. Asked them to wait till Friday then I'd refund. Turned up today tho. RM quoted 3-4 days airmail, this was 16 days.
And a package to Saudi still hasnt got there after a month.
  • Just recently I sent an item priority airmail to Australia, it took 5 weeks. The guy had already left a neg for non receipt but was honest and told me when it came and removed the neg.

I find that the delays mostly occur in Aus. Whenever I use ISF, it shows as leaving the country in a day or so (obviously you don't see what happens then). Then it just takes forever, buyers are usually pretty good at waiting and letting you know it's arrived, I guess Aus is just a little isolate in parts, so hence the delays.

That must be the case. Oz has one of the best and most secure postal systems in the world. As has France, Germany and the Netherlands. In Italy and Spain, everything is manana. I worked in Spain, and the business owner took me out for lunch one day. He was most concerned I was working too hard.

I sell world wide and I think the only items not received have been in the UK, and there have only ever been a tiny handful anyway.

I find Australia very quick, I usually get my stuff there in less than a week. I just use standard airmail though, never any signed for services. I have a huge customer base in Oz, lovely people, leave wonderful feedback as well.

  • Couple of years ago, sent an old synthesizer to Hungary, even after stating it was to be 'pick up only'.

Guy had emailed early, message him where to check the postage costs, and he was happy with the additional packing charges.

We live in France and have bought several items from UK Ebay. Never had any problems except once when the French post code was written by hand and the sender did not cross the 7 so the postal service thought it was a 1. It turned up eventually though.
So if posting to France do cross the 7, this may apply to other countries as well.

I'm also surprised to find Australia included in the list of slow countries. I have always found items arrive amazingly quickly. Could be different i suppose at a remote sheep station.
