Let us know how you get on! I am confused how it would work in a BM, as i *think* the secret is not to over knead it. I literally kneaded it maybe 4 times to bring it all together - otherwise i *think* the air escapes and rising agent don't work so well but am not sure. If you do get a successful recipe, pop it on the thread here to help others in future
On thinking, I remember you started a thread about soda bread but i think it's what we would call Wheaten
Was it this thread? I could have swore Pink explained what we call soda etc Ah it wasn't Pink, it was another Ni poster - Angeltreats
Sorry, am tired and am making a right hash of explaining this.
Is it this
or thisA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

Ah! this thread is about Soda farls - the white ones!
Pink has the most gorgeous wheaten bread recipe - it is "proper" wheaten with the wholegrains etc. It keeps fresh for over a week, and freezes great. The first time I made it, i ate a whole loaf in a day it was so damn nice! I'll go look you the recipe up as I know she posted it literally a few days ago:jA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

I love them both so I dont care:D:D:D:D:D:heartpulsOnce a Flylady, always a Flylady:heartpuls0 -
Here
I get the coarse wholemeal in bigger tescos where the flour is (I genuinely had no idea what I was looking for!) I get the bran and wheatgerm from a scoopamarket but somewhere like Holland and barrets or Julian graves might do it
Handy recipe as I make up the dry stuff in advance in bags, then throw some curdled milk in (made with lemon juice and milk) and oil , loaf tin, Bob's your uncle
Jinks - you cheeky cow:p
Why it is called different things according to location, I'll never know. This recipe requires no kneading or machine work - just a big spoon:DA little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men
