Maria
Ive been in finance most of my working life.
Bankcruptcy is the best option. One of my Brothers and then soon after his wife went Bankcrupt and ever since then thier life has been transformed. The walked away from £60k debt and it was all very easy. DONT GO THROUGH ANY THIRD PARTY just go direct.
Now my Brother has started his own business and actually saving for the first time in his life.
BTW all the no nothings will tell you Bankcruptcy is a last resort, dont listen, it is by far the best way to proceed.
My brother ensured the Bankcruptcy papers state no one can come after tham later for money / property.
He had no child at the time and was renting. NOTHING WAS REPOSSESED.0 -

Hi MAria - I hope you and the little one are OK.:j
I have had a word with one of the financial advisors at my work, I really hope you don't mind. Actually I said I needed advice for a friend of mine, and you know how things are, she thought it was me! Anyway my lovely she listed a number of things you should maybe try, and have a think about.
She said although it might seem bad, but as you're renting apply for bankrupcy, it could be the new start you need specially as hubbie isn't working or helping. She also said ring payplan or something similar and try them to get a budget repayment plan in place.. She said try CAB again even though they were !!!!!! and have a word with Rhondda Cynon Taff Council about what you're entitled to, from vouchers to uniforms to free school meals and milk. Also ask council if there are any grants for prople in the area suffering hardship. My advisor said sometimes there are old bursaries/grants available if you live in a certain area, like Beddau. My old place in Berkshire had something similar that had been giving grants for 100 years set up by one of the gentry!!!
The woman also said have a word with Homestart, British Legion etc - sorry I know it isn't much but it's a start.:D
And v sorry to other MSE'rsif I've repeated yur other posts! :eek:Current debt and mortgage: £25, 820.35 Debt/Mortgage at start: £92,598 (27/09/2010)
