Hey hun. Sorry to hear things aren't going well for you at the moment. Your husband doesn't seem to be helping at all - if anything seems to be making things worse. I'm glad your daughter is enjoying her school - at least you don't have to worry about her.

Can you claim anymore tax credits/benefits etc. Have you tried contacting the CAB/CCS etc as it seems like you need to again if you already have. I also think you need to talk to the school with regard to school dinners as you are obviously struggling but doing your best and doing a great job in a difficult situation.

Your husband really needs to be contributing and he needs to sort it out - does he need to go to the doctors? if he can't or won't contribute perhaps you have to think about going it alone.

Whatever happens remember the creditors can scream as loud as they like but if you haven't got it they can't take it.

Make looking after yourself and your daughter your priority and do what you need to to look after yourselves. You sound like a really caring mum and just remember you have so many friends on here who are still around and will help if we can.

    Take care.

    Hi there Maria,
Have just finished reading your story and have to admit I have tears in my eyes too. What a terrible situation, and what a useless hubby you have! Are you sure you can't do without him (none of my business I know). I simply can't believe that the lazy swine thinks he doesn't have to work because you do. Even if he just worked 5 nights in a bar (like I do on top of my other job) he'd get more than your cleaning job does atm, and give you some time to spend with your lovely daughter.

Just had a quick look at your soa (supposed to be working atm) can you get dd to take packed lunches? Might cut down on your 30 quid for dinners. My two have always had packed lunches.

Does he have access to your accounts? Do you *give* him money for booze and fags? If you you don't will he hurt you? I would be much inclined to transfer everything in his name back to him, pay your own stuff, and let him buy his. But I know things generally aren't that simple - I'm just so angry on your behalf! Let us know if you need anything.

Quite a moving story - Are his debts in his name - Or are they joint. If worst comes to worst then your debts would be halved straight away. (Providing of course his debts are in his name). Think he would pay more attention when they start chasing him for payments etc.
  • Hi Maria,

I've read all through your post and am sorry to hear about current events. Here's hoping that things get better soon.

I have pm'd you with possibly some help.

Any chance of getting away for a few days at the weekend to stay with friends/family etc - maybe a fwe days apart would do you good and help you get your head around things?
