All about ebaying for me today. Aiming to make about £60 from ebaying this month.
Monsoon dress - listed for £25
Gucci sunglasses - £20 bargain!
Shall have a look for something else - bits of jewellery perhaps? Jeans? Shoes?
Saw someone's post saying they were cutting up old clothes to sell on as quilting fabric... might need to look into that one! :T Don't think I've got anything suitable but will keep it in mind!
Also need to see about changing foreign currency I have - about £40.
Be back later with my progress! Wish me luck! And send me any ideas!

The most annoying thing about ebaying stuff is that I see stuff I want to buy!!! This could be dangerous!!0

Hi La Esc - just stumbled across your diary!
Good luck with your plans for this year and next, it all sounds very organised! I especially like the way you list things that are coming up in the next month or so and your plans for how you will deal with the finances for them.
Keep up the good work!

- Books – text books, dictionaries & grammar books
- CDs – but don’t really get a lot for those…
- Clothes – jeans that don’t fit me (is there any point thinking I will get back into them?!), dress for work I’ve not worn since I started here (bought it for old job), scarves (have far too many), old jackets
- Shoes – shall check but know I don’t wear them all
- DS games
- Old mp3 player (does it even work?!)
Forgot about those jeans! Off to hunt them out now... £5 starting bid

Hi Been,
Nice to have you popping in
I do try to keep track of what's coming up - I used to have a million post its all over the place. At least having lists here keeps them all in one place!!

One of my 101 things is to make a Christmas present for each female family member. Here's what I'm thinking:
- Mum - pamper hamper
- MiL - scarf
- Sis - candle
- SiL - something from the crochet book she got me - must learn

- Neice - baking hamper type thing. Cookies jar maybe or something easy that we can bake together.
Even easier because my list covers 3 Christmasses!! :rotfl:
The crochet one (because I have to learn!) can be easily put off

I'm lurking on the thread, and will get thinking about my list.La_escocesa wrote: »You'll never guess what happened after leaving it in the launderette - the woman who works there picked it up (no problems there) but I saw her reading it and finish it but now it's just sat on the shelf behind the till - not in the magazine rack for other peeps to pick up. Boo. I wish bookcrossing was more popular; otherwise it just doesn't work.
Oh no! That's great that it got reused, but disappointing that it hasn't been passed on again! It's one of the reasons I'm not sure about doing it, as I just think that half the time they'll end up in the bin.
:eek::eek: Great ideas for the pressies though!La_escocesa wrote: »

Well done on the plan for paying off the credit card. I would take the mortgage payment holiday too to get it cleared. You can then pay more to the mortgage and get that cleared sooner!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Woo hoo, sold my sunglasses
I'm really pleased about it - £22.50 (with postage) but feel like that's a fair price for all parties involved. I'm happy to sell at that price and I'd be more than happy to get such a bargain if I was buying!
Every little helps to paying off overdraftdom... 0 -
Bills/usual things I need to pay are:
- Mortgage
- Household
- CC
- Mobile phone
- Yoga (hopefully starts back in September)
Leaves about £100 for September-specific spends (and £100 probs aint gonna cover it ):- Dad's bday

- Travel - petrol for hire car; car hire xs insurance

- Night out with old mates who I haven't seen in 10 years!!

- Pre-wedding beauty treatments

- Hen do
- mostly paid so won't need too much for this - just lunch and dinner out probably.
'Tis gonna be tight! Up for the challenge though :T0 -
You kept your diary quiet :-)
