I've done my list!
http://www.dayzeroproject.com/user/MrsPB2B
Now just need to get on with it.
Quite a reflective exercise coming up with 101 things you'd like to do.
Realised quite a lot of it is me wanting to be more creative (make a few things/cook/write) and generally just relaxing and enjoying life. A few things are things that I used to do but don't any more/never find the time, which I'm obviously missing doing, even if I didn't realise it before now.
Some of them are 'easy' - I'm planning a picnic for Saturday - but some require a bit more effort (like sit the other yukky international exam...).
Either way, and no matter how many I complete, I'm sure I'll enjoy the ride! Going to make a note whenever I complete one of them (or maybe a post on here) so I can look back in 2013.
Eek, scary business!

That list is a great idea, I may have to try and think about doing one myself :T"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Hello again:j
I contemplated a 101 in 1001 list abouit a year ago and decided i couldn't think of 101 things;) Now all you lot talking about it on the small dfw thread has got me thinking about it again:rotfl:
I love your list, maybe I'll have a go....though really, what I should concentrate on is catching up on all my uni work, not finding even more distractions....I'm very easily distracted:)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Easily done Milly! I am a major procrastinator!!
I sometimes read Leo Babauta's blog http://zenhabits.net/ - quite like his stuff about productivity.
I qualified a couple of years ago - after 5 years of uni and 4 years of professional exams - and now I don't know how I would find the time to study!! Good luck with it. It always amazes me how the more you get done the more you feel you can do. You'll storm through it once you get started.

So, obviously got a lot of wedding spending coming up but thought it'd be good to concentrate on the things that don't cost any money - I can still wedding plan when I'm aiming for those elusive NSDs

This is what I still need to do that doesn't mean getting out my cc!- Decide on music
- Decide poems/readings x 2
- Ask peeps to do readings - OH's dad and usher
- Create/print Order of Service cards/scrolls
- Look for a hairdo!
- Look at flowers
- Fill in M10 forms
- Ask mum for birth certificate

Wow, you have studied for a long time:T
I dropped out of uni when I was 20, was having too much fun going out and did no work, big regret now. So here I am at 38 still studying - I will get a degree eventually:rotfl:
You are right though - the more I do, the more I keep going and end up quite productive. I just need such a push to actually get started, once I'm going I can keep at it for hours. Finding today hard going though, just not enjoying trying to write a presentation. Mind you, would rather write it than speak it - scary:eek::eek:
I like your no-spend wedding list, lots you can do without spending eh?!;)I really need to sort out a new signature!0 -
Called mortgage co - am eligible for 2 month payment holiday in November and December, meaning I could pay an extra £400 a month to my cc in those months and clear it before the New Year and clear the cc when the low interest period finishes...
Then, in January, my mortgage payments would go up to take account of the new balance but I was thinking of overpaying the mortgage come next year as I'll be cc debt free anyway!
It makes sense to me, I'm starting to think there is a catch...
Here's the plan:
Current balance £2.4k
Sept 1st predicted balance £2k
October 1st predicted balance £1.6k
November 1st predicted balance £800 (£400 normal payment and £400 from mortgage going towards it)
December 1st predicted balance ZERO!!! (£400 normal payment and £400 from mortgage going towards it)
Obviously this assumes no interest - it's currently around 6% and due to go up to 19.9 in November. I'm hoping I'll cover interest charges through 'free' money (things I sell etc) so my payments count as payments and reduce the balance... That is the plan anyway.
If I don't do it that way balance will be £1.2k when the interest goes up to 19.9%.
Hopefully doable...

Yay, come and join us, jwil. Stitchingwitch has started a diary thread https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/26481050 -
Ooh that is exciting about your book, I'd be interested to see if someone picks it up!
You'll never guess what happened after leaving it in the launderette - the woman who works there picked it up (no problems there) but I saw her reading it and finish it but now it's just sat on the shelf behind the till - not in the magazine rack for other peeps to pick up. Boo. I wish bookcrossing was more popular; otherwise it just doesn't work.0
