Days till payday
I’m hoping to stay at home most of this week and all weekend (have got lots to sort out/organise/chuck/sell/bag up for charity etc) so hopefully the NSDs won’t be too difficult to get under my belt. Payday will be here before I know it…not that I want to wish my weeks away

- [STRIKE]Post niece’s birthday present – pressie bought with cash in June[/STRIKE] Giving pressie to mum to pass on

- Gift voucher (from work with 7.5% discount) and card (from stash) for mate
- Postage for wedding invites – joint a/c, not ‘my’ budget

- Yoga
- w/e away with girls – staying with friend, train tickets bought and probably girls night in (or might suggest SATC2 before ideas of ‘spensive restaurants and bars gets mentioned…)
- Races w/e away – staying with friends, tickets bought…Hoping not to spend too much (can’t really find any way to justify spending on betting and booze…except that I look forward to this trip away with uni mates every year and is one of the few times I’ll see them this year) but comes after July’s payday so have 2 paydays before then to put money away.
- Will also make a contingency for a lunch out and a baby card/pressie for other mate (but might be able to do this with vouchers too and am due a free card from my M&S loyalty card scheme thing)
- Travel for Aug bank hol w/e and 1st weekend of Sept (when I need to go pick up my wedding dress
) - now paid off

Thanks goingontoolong! I saw your diary thread too so I hope to pop over to that to see how you're getting on with your DFW journey too! (And a fellow Scot so that's always good
).
No sale on the shoes! Boo. Don't think I'll bother to relist but going to sort out all week (have no cash til payday anyway and OH is busy with the world cup) so I'll either sort a car boot or charity bag, if I don't have enough stuff.0 -
Sorry your shoes didn't sell, that's a shame.
I can't get on the bingo sites at work, but I haven't tried dooyoo, maybe I should check that one, save me wasting my lunchtimes!
Good luck with the NSDs it does seem a very long time til payday!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Sorry about the shoes!
It's good that you are setting out exactly where your money is expected to go for the next day/week etc, no surprises! You are doing well with the NSD's aswell so it's all moving in the right direction!Wedding, CC and Loan by May2012 Target - £35 a dayStarting 21/01/11 Total so far added to savings - £2316.15 (£82 a day) :j#1280 sealed pot - £58.57 £11k in 2011 - £981.10/£11,0000 -

Thanks for posting the link to the small things thread, I've never looked at that one before but have just had a look through and it looks really helpful. I might visit today!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0

Definitely worth joining in jwil (and everyone else). It's really great. And even the days you don't think you've done anything worth talking about, you always find at least one thing that'll help. Good to report when you've turned a light off on leaving a room or putting some coppers in a jar. :T
A friendly bunch too and so far all ladies (we've no idea why - we must try to 'recruit' some more men...)

Said no to going out for lunch tomorrow - no cash in my purse (that's what I get for buying a dress yesterday!) so I had to say no. Bit of a change for me - I'm usually first to say yes or the one suggesting it - but can't really justify it this month.
Found it really awkward to say no tbh - ended up saying I was really busy at work, just because that sounded like the easiest excuse
Can't imagine they would've understood had I just said I was too skint. I can always get another £10 to go out for lunch, but I guess the difference is that these days I don't want to/put more importance on staying out of the overdraft!
Changed days, eh?!
I guess I'll catch up with them on email and get the goss that way
minus the price tag! 0
