You mentioned flowers - any chance of a pic with those? It would be much easier to identify if it's flowering.0 -
I think they look like beans0

I thought it looked like the 2nd from the left, bottom row, at least the pic of it coming through your fence

I've got knotweed in the park at the back of me, it looks a lot like yours only much taller! maybe something related?
no, the leaves are crinkled like savoy cabbage, so dont look like those at all

flowers are identical to bellbine, once open
will have to wait about a week for a flower to appear
the current plants have got to that size within 1wk of them first protruding from the ground, so they are fast growers

what about giant knotweed rather than Japanese

just had a quick look at my Russian vine with my binoculars, leaves look similar, but its so old now wouldn't know what it would look like as a new plant sticking out of the ground. It can grow bl**dy quickly too0 -

no, still doesnt look like any of the knotweeds
isnt russian vine like virginia creeper? if so, no its not that either
just find it weird that i have lots of it in my garden, but 2ft over the fence my neighbours dont seem to have any, and they keep their garden au naturel, unlike me whos weeding all the time

Greater Bindweed?0

its not a creeper of any sort, which to me would rule out bindweed, its just the flowers that are similar, so a white trumpet shape
perhaps i need to leave them be this season, and see how big they grow, and what happens, come the autumn. trust me to have an uncommon weed lol
