You are kidding me - you have never heard a meat eater complaining about this?

Pretend you have a veggie friend round for tea and say the same thing to your meat eating friends and see how many agree with you

I agree it's ridiculous but unfortunately a significant minority of meateaters seem to subscribe to that viewpoint.

I agree that they have undersold the product and that mentioning beef was an ingredient would generally have helped to sell it.

Unless a cafe/restaurant is just vegetarian it is almost certain that sauce pans/griddles/knives/hands etc will have been used for meat and veggie dishes and none of the dishes are really suitable for vegetarians.

Small point here. in the OP it said popped into a delhi takeaway, does this mean a takeaway in delhi or a deli that is a takeaway or a takeaway that is part of a group called delhi?
