I don't understand the having to pay for membership to be honest. I've been to costco many times and it never struck me as all that special.

Costco is ace if you are after buying say a TV. I bought a Philips 32 inch CRT 2 year ago now and it packed up after 13 months.
Upon phoning Costco, I had a choice of either an engineer to repair the TV or take it back for a refund.
I went back for a refund of £529 and then went back in to buy the same TV again for £439 and another new free 3 year guarentee :rotfl:
So far its 12 month old now and all is ok.
I dont know what their guarentee is like on LCD / Plasma tv's though
Usually their returns / refund policy is second to none.
My dad bought a DVD and left it in his trolley when loading his car.
He phoned them up when he realised back home and they said just to pop back in and they would replace it !!!!!!!
The 24 pack duracell batteries are around £7 too!!
In my opinion its well worth the membership.TB0 -
i havent had a passport since I've joined. I deff need a new bed, do the passports have the coupons neede for the specials or are the prices changed at the till?
must add that my membership fee has paid for itself with the savings etc I've made.
My best buy for the 2 past shops we've done has to be the "case" of big volvic strawberry waters. about £8 odd for I think 16 or so bottles!!look after the pennies.....0 -
Peechy (2.58am...are many of the posters on this forum insomniacs?),
I'd call in at customer services because you should be receiving the passports (only people who didn't were 2nd cardholders on trade accounts, but they seem to have sorted that out now as well). You do need the voucher, but 9 times out of 10 the people on the till will dig one out for you...but given the money involved it's a risk.
I was going to go for one of the beds myself, but unfortunately they don't do pocket sprung ones.I really must stop loafing and get back to work...0 -
Any members of the Leeds branch got their passport yet? We haven't.

Reading ones arrived on friday, good timing as my years supply of loo rolls has nearly run out. You can always tell when Costco has an offer on them as there are many cars on the M4 junctions 11/12 filled to the roof with loo rolls.0

LOL
Know what you mean my house is like some sort of Nuclear Bunker at times with loads of toilet & kitchen rolls stored in every available space.
Also, shop at Reading and have seen the following (minor) celebs in there: the Hamiltons (and Mr H did look absolutely clueless and shot away), Linford Christie, Dave Beasant (ex-Chelsea keeper), Steve Coppell (Reading mgr) and Raquel out of Eastenders (dont know her name).Waddle you do eh?0 -
