I just changed from personal to trade membership.Jimbo333 wrote:I could probably qualify for Individual OR Trade membership. Any serious advantages to either one? Any difference in this "membership cost"?
Trade membership is cheaper at £20+VAT. You get a free spouse card just like you do with personal membership.
You can get up to six extra cards at just £12+VAT and any number of others at £20+VAT - but they all expire at the same time as your own card. Just be sure to notify Costco that you want these to be cash/debit card only otherwise as primary member you are liable for all mispresented cheques by other card holders on your account.
Trade members can shop from 10:00am-12:00pm Monday-Friday and get free coffee & cakes during this time. Very nice...
Trade members can buy bulk packs medicines like paracetemol, ibuprofen, Calpol, Zantac, etc. which are restricted by law to small quantities for individuals. Savings on these are significant compared with a high street pharmacist.
Trade members get to kiss the best looking member of staff every time they visit. (OK, I made that one up, but the optician in Bristol is gorgeous and I can always dream
)

Costco's quite good apart from you have to pay £30 to pay for the privelige of paying prices which are generally not that cheaper then the supermarkets and certainly generally not as good as online prices.0
