This can often be circumstance. A car parked between, say, two large white vans. When the vans move, 2 minis park in their place. The car previously parked perfectly in the middle will now appear to be parked "ridiculously."

If I witness anyone - with or without a rug "moving" a parked car, I'll report them to both the police and the owner of the car. And if it's my car you're moving I'll call an ambulance for you.

It can also be total ignorance......

I followed a car into a parallel parking space once, he drove in first and I was expecting him to pull up a little further to leave me a space behind, but he didn't!!! he left a 3/4 car gap infront of him!!!! him and his wife then got out and left me half way across a dropped kerb, so I wound down my window and told him if he didn't f*cking well move forward i'd do it for him..... After a few evil looks and me creeping up a few mm off his rear bumper, he moved it... :D

I park really badly every night when I get home!! I aim for the space and 9 times out of 10 I get it in!

I think the best (worst?) we saw was in France. Guy trying to parallel park in a busy town centre decide to use his bumpers to push a Citroen CV backwards so that he could get his Renault in a space :)

Many French drivers don't pull their handbrakes up for precisely this reason, so that the bumping car will move their car if necessary and not cause too much damage.

Why is it that when I park in the furthest, quietest, clearest part of a car park I always have a crappy old heap either side of me when I get back:mad:.

And you just know they have made contact when they opened their door and hauled their fat !!! out as they have parked so close. But it's ok because they've got those !!!!!! bits of reflective plastic on the edge of the door and that's what they're for, right?

Then there's the !!!! who insists on parking as close to your rear bumper as they can possibly get. Hey, it's a supermarket, why would I want to get access to the boot!!

Why do disabled drivers park in the Parent & Child bays when there are Disabled bays free? Especially when the cause of many of their disabilities seems to be the fact they're hugely obese. God forbid they have to walk too far to the courtesy wheelchair supplied by the supermarket.

    etc, etc

This road is barely 3 cars wide. You can see that there is another car parked opposite. To the left is the main road and only exit from this road, to the right is a block of garages as well as a few other parked cars out in the open.

The shadow in the bottom left is another car that is parked half way on the curb to avoid wing mirror damage.

And yes, that guy does live on this road and knows this well enough.
