Baker Street's in my neck of the woods, as it happens. Small world and all that! The Carnival does get very busy and very loud, just in case that's not your bag - something like 1.5 million people are there over the two days it runs.
Baker Street is very central and well connected for transport, so I'm sure you'll it have sussed in no time. Hope you have fun and enjoy my home town - it's not a bad old place really :beer:4 May 2010

I know Gloucester Place, but not that particular hotel - although it does look like a good hotel. Gloucester Place is near Baker Street as you already know, but also near Regent's Park, which is lovely and in the best MSE tradition: FREE to get in! You'll also be near Madame Tussaud's (wax works). And the shopper's paradise of Oxford Street.
If I can think of anything else I'll post it here for ya! :money:4 May 2010

Go to see Leyton Orient. Alternatively, if you want to do something constructive then dont. I'm supposed to be playing for the Old Foresters (my football team) tomorrow and instead am having poor quality football inflicted on me so I'm just feeling others should suffer too :cool:0

ME and Godders got mashed here, but on the Premier ticket!
You get cashback on those through GreasyPalm too
I was in London last weekend, went to the Southbank and took pics of the graffitti at the skate park, went to a skate shop and ate Pret a Manger lunch in the rain in Canary Wharf and took more pics of all the glass buildings.........................that was cool!

It was a bit like the Witchery Tour that Edilass took us on in Edinburgh, only more serious and far more sinister!Honorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts.
