Your email to the horses mouth is by far the best way out of this, (if this issue came back to bite you after you took out the policy, you couldn't use this forum as your defence!)
Ask them if you can put teacher in now as your main occupation (pointing out you have been employed to start after your hols). If they ok that it saves you having to pay for a policy amendment part way through the year.0 -

I have just heard too many horror stories of policy being unvalid because of small details and obviously my position is quite complicated.
