How exactly to start a Debt Relief Order started with CCCS??

Hi how exactly do I get the DRO from CCCS??

As i just did the debt-remedy online, and then did the 'Live-Chat' with an adviser,
but all he did was look at my income vs outgoings and debt from my debt remedy,
tell me that i wouldn't be able to offer any repayment for the debts as i have less income than i do expenditure...

But then he just sent me the link to download the PDF of CCCS's booklet about dealing with debt, what the banks can and cant do (all of which i already know),
but then just went without offering me the various solutions like DROs... ect

So didn't actually offer me any solutions at all, or say that he will do a DRO for me. :(

Do i need to tell them on the live chat that i want to do DRO, and ask to be sent a pack for it??

If you are serious about a DRO then you need to contact CAB,its a simple process if you have debts under 15k,less than £300 in savings,a car worth less than a £1000 and disposable income of less than £50 a month, and dont own your own house.:money:

    I did.

Re-bumped the thread 4x hoping that the CCCS counselor would come back and reply again, as you cannot private msg them,
but due to the number of threads there mine never got answered. :(

Hi and thanks for your reply.

I wanted to do it through CCCS instead of Cab though,
as i much prefer to do everything in life online instead of going to cab offices or over the phone.

I have between 9-10k of debt that il need written off,
    dont drive so no car,
don't trust leaving money in a bank account so only ever have over £300 cash in 1 of my bank accounts the day before all my month's direct-debits are going out or before il be paying rent,
i claim housing benefit, council tax benefit and jsa so under £50 spare cash per month after paying my rent/bills/food/travel/other life expenses.

So already know that i automatically qualify for 1.

But they seemt o make the process of getting 1 DRO very complex, instead of it just being a form that you fill in online or print off and post to the IS.:(
