Good morning everyone!
I hope the weather is going to stay good, am taking my DS, DD and a friend to a local school fete this morning/lunchtime. Kids very excited, have counted out their pennies to take to spend! Got to nip to the post office and Aldi first though so better get going.... Hope you all have a good day! 0 -
Morning All - woke up with hayfever face this morning..bleurgh.
Tired and Desperate - I have a somewhat off the wall Sense of Humour and I am sure in can sometimes be misinterpreted. I wouldn't worry too much about your colleague not getting the joke. You were responding to their joke and know how you meant it to come across and as for the OH. My OH often mistakes my 'self sufficient nature' as uncaring and uncompassionate at times! You can only indulge their wimperings so much before you need to get on with other things :rotfl:.
We were meant to being going to a neighbours to watch the match tonight, but thankfully they have cancelled so we are having a few friends over instead. So I'd better find my list and make this place look presentable.
Pigpen - Any sign of the parcel yet? I didn't trust the fact that the post office man wouldn't give me a proof of postage because I'd put my own stamps on, rather than buying them from him!Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0 -
Oh back from his dads.
Washing X 3 on it's a beautiful day here!:D
Pigpen - hope you have some relief from little ones digestive troubles...and that the funeral went as well as it could.
Notso - we appreciate you here! Take a deep breath rise above it!
Have paid a flying visit to the arms - original poster is still going there!:p Keep digging girl! That hole is getting deeper!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -
well done! it's a really great thing for encouraging more kids to cycle when teachers do :T Do you have Bike It in your school?I did go to work on my bike yesterday and the kids were really impressed that one of the staff were on their bike as well - I don't think they could quite believe it - so I was pleased I'd gone on it.
That's rubbish, even if you print your own postage you can get them to stamp a proof of postage for you.prettypennies wrote: »

Do I seem like I have a sense of humour? I'm not asking for compliments (or even insults!)...I just seem to have had a few instances where everything I say has been misconstrued ...
Tell your OH to sugar off and toss your head in the air as if nothing has happened. You have probably annoyed someone 'cos you have something better than they have. I always read emails twice 'cos it is so easy for them to sound wrong. Don't worry about it, though, I have had run ins with people at work (old job not new) and I think people who get stressy with their colleagues really don't have enough to do. When mine get on my nerves I shrug and think I'm going home at x o'clock and thank God I don't live with them.
Glad soappie is ok, and greenbee do you want the guy to be around, I mean ideally of course you do, but are you considering not?? Internet dating? No stigma now.
Wm on, dw on, the house is suffering from a week of DH "doing it all" while I have been marking. Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0 -
Ideally yes I do want them to be around, and I'm not considering alternatives. As for internet dating, there may be no stigma but I'm far too much of a wimp to consider it! So i'll just have to see what happens...gratefulforhelp wrote: »greenbee do you want the guy to be around, I mean ideally of course you do, but are you considering not?? Internet dating? .
Anyway, overslept, still feel tired. Need to get moving and get a few things done before heading off. It's haircut day, which means trekking all the way to Oxford Street

Morning all
It's not as sunny as I'd hoped so I'll get the bathroom done this morning, WM already on, and hope to spend the afternoon in the garden.
