Sending healing vibes to Ellie's poorly pudd'n-cat.

Hey Valli do I need to get me a new hat? The one I have is a bit tatty... http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y17/LameWolf/Samhain2008.jpg

Mr LW is currently playing with yet another Wii game that he got yesterday (pre-owned, so only a tenner) so I thought I'd get a bit of preparation done for the holiday - finding relevant websites, researching Real Ale pubs style of thing.

I think so. Start off with baby steps, just aim for Level 1 tasks to begin with, and you'll be surprised how well you get on. The idea is also to just do 1 room per day, rather than get bogged down with (for instance) cleaning every window in the house in one go.;)

I think it helps, too, to know that a couple of hundred other folks up and down the land are all doing the same tasks.

HHC (Half Hour Challenges) are good; often someone will join in with you, so you have a virtual companion to work with.:o

I've found it invaluable, as I tend to go at it like a bull at a gate on my good days, and end up knocking myself into Wednesday week - I don't do that any more except when I foolishly try to mow the lawn, but we'll just gloss over that......:D

Thats like me! I try really hard and do loads one day then the kids come home and half hour later everywhere is trashed so i think why bother? I could really do with some tips onhow to get them to clean up behind themselves too....I'm actually really worried about DS2 he is so lazy he wont even rinse out a cup or take his plate back to the
kitchen:eek: Their Dad is the same i'm sure they have watched my run round like a headless chicken while he did nothing so now they think they can......and I know its not done them any favours, the oldest 2 are ok ish if they are in the right mood(teenagers:eek::eek::eek: i thought people exagerated teenage moods:rotfl:) youngest 2 are also ok as i try and make it into a game but middle 2 are sooooo lazy and stubborn its unreal:(

It has to be Oh Illustrious Leader !

Please may I join? My DH is in hospital, and since he went two and a half weeks ago my housekeeping skills seem to have deserted me, and I seem to spend my life chasing my tail. I haven't been putting things away after myself and have become incredibly untidy compared with my usual standards.

What on earth's wrong with me?!!!

I need taking in hand. HELP!!!
Keeping two cats and myself on a small budget, and enjoying life while we're at it!
