I use Adaware and Spybot - Update and run them once a week.
Disc clean up every couple of nights
Clear cookies once or twice a month
and Disc Defrag every month or so and my machine runs ok.
What will this new software find that I don't aready know about??????????0 -
I use Diskeeper Lite and defrag both drives daily.
Run easycleaner, pcpitstop and ccleaner weekly (so 3 cleans per week, spread across week).
Run ad-aware daily, norton anti-virus scan daily (automatic).
Norton Internet Security and Windows Defender running real time.
Cookies set to prompt on all, only allow what I require, block most.
Run registry fix regularly (freeware version) and edit out unwanted registries in regedit (not recommended for beginners).
This is about as clean as it gets!
Gave hitmanpro a try and all I found was what it had installed itself, cleared with Ad-aware, which I find to be the most thorough of the spyware scanners.
Posted my warning purely to advise people to be careful.0 -
