Hi all, just gave the car a test drive to the shop and back. Great back to normal. I'm getting to old for crawling around under cars, the local garage is very reasonable, but I just can't help myself. My dad was a great mechanic. When I was 3 I could work the handbrake, usually dad was underneath at the time!!!!

I was brought up in an age when people only used garages as a last resort. Modern cars are getting over complicated, and the young two lazy to do there own repairs (I don't include the folks here, we are all money savers).

    Catch you all later, cheers.

I agree handy, the cars these days are all electronic and not so much mechanical if you know what I mean. There are sooo many sensors for this that and the other and it only takes one of them to go wrong and the whole thing comes to a halt. That said, they are more reliable, no more cranking the handle but just so expensive to get fixed. I think every family should have a mechanic, plumber, electrician, solicitor, decorator and jack of all trades!! Oh just realised your family does:D how lucky they are;)

Yup I'm still looking for my wristwatch. :rotfl: I like the way he made his girl friend disappear when she said it was time to leave the pub:rotfl::rotfl:

I agree about cars, I've just ordered my next motability car and nearly everything's electric on it. Which is good cos it makes it much easier for me to drive, but if I were buying a car I'd be really worried about how expensive repairs'd be. The more fancy stuff it has the more there is to go wrong!
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
  • Am leaving fred in the capable hands of all still here, I know half of you stay up well into the night;) so I will bid you all goodnight and hopefully catch you all tomorrow (connection permiting!!) should get new router tomorrow so hopefully that should do the job.

G'nite all, sweet dreams. (I'll be dreaming about what delights Gebee will have for us tomorrow:);))

Ames - couldn't agree more! Lucky you though getting a nice new car (I'm not jealous...I'm not jealous...)hehe

Erme, your like a cross between a Butterfly and a Kangaroo, your here one minute and gone the next LOL:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

One day you might stay around long enough to have a decent chat.

You have said in your posts that you hail from the fens.
I know your up high on the East Coast. There aren't two many areas with high rises. Your up near Royal Dee side. My Mate maggot is up that way though nearer Dundee. I think your further North. You ought to meet up, his humour (marmite) could cheer up anyone. I'm not saying your unhappy, just that he would give you a good laugh. He'd probably spill the beans on me as well.

Hope we meet up sometime, when I go up to see the old swampy.:)

    Cheers, handy.
