Very impressive Ames - I might have just assumed all was lost and binned it.

BL, sorry about the stressful few days, and the lack of rain, my grass is very long and growing at a ridiculous rate. Hope the rain comes your way, and leaves my lawn alone.

Hope you get some compensation from edf. Have you tried? or is it not off long enough?

If :rotfl:Do you mean the one on the top of a web page? or the F5 button? or do you have a fancy keyboard with special web buttons?

I never bothered with F5 until I got my new laptop with Windows7, and IE on that has a really tiny refresh button so it's easier to use F5.

Tixy, it had the entire first draft of my book on it, so I really didn't want to just let it go without at least trying to get it back. I was going to take it to a professional till I saw the price

I'm not wonderwoman, I had a little search on the techie board and realised how easy it was to do. I'm surprised though that I remembered the tiny bit of electronics I did at school though so I could understand it!

  • PPS: BL, just read your post, what a carp couple of days... hugs x

Yeah Spoon it has been but hey some people have had it worse than me, I just needed to let off steam. Thanks.;)
BL, your allowed a rant after all you've been through lol x

    Big big hugs

Thanks If... it does help to have a rant on here rather than with your family as there are no repercussions;)

Hope you get some sun without rain soon, so that the grass stops growing!

Have asked EDF to send me a comp form, apparently according to a neighbour we can get comp if it has been off more than 4 times in a year, at the moment I think we can get approx £54 which isn't a great amount when sometimes it has been off for 13 hours but never less than abt 4 hours. It's not even the compensation that bothers me (although for what they charge it will be very welcome) it's just the inconvenience, we don't realise how much we take it for granted. Even more than that we have a few old people in my block and it must be quite scary for them and also potentially dangerous as they might have a bad fall in the dark.

Sorry folks in a bit of a rant mood today. I'm off to have a nice one of these bubble-bath-071.gif and a good nights sleep (hopefully, it's v muggy here)

So keep 'em peeled;) and hope to catch you tomorrow if I can get on-line. Update... 02 have finally agreed to send me a new router which should arrive weds...fingers x.

Nite all. Sweet dreams (except trolls and spammers who can go take a long run on a short pier!!!)
I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Hi all, Erme I'm still very much alive and still here.

3dogs How's OH's gumboil. I could tell a dentist joke or two. One would probably get me struck off.

But just tell him if it's a male dentist as he reaches over grab him by the nuts and say "Now we're not going to hurt one another, Are we".

Erme's right a slug or two of Scotch held against the gum works wonders, and if it doesn't then the hang over hurts more than the gum boil so no problem.

Back in a moment or two with an update, cheers handy.
