Hi all just got back in, mum in laws hanging on in there but she doesn't have a lot of fight left. I flew back on a wing an a prayer, after fixing the car on Friday, I have hit a pothole and I think a front strut has gone. Made it home with a lot of twanging and grinding coming from underneath. I will have to wait until daylight to inspect the damage.
The Morning should be interesting, on Friday aft Lady Hooray objected to us finishing work 4 hours early to get off up North. So she got more than a few home truths. I told her Mrs Handy would be staying with her mum, and I will begin packing up here. She said I don't expect this from people I employ. I reminded her that we are here on a self employed basis, so that they could get round employers liability insurance and Employers NI contributions. I don't have a contract with them so I told her to shove the job where the sun don't shine and to get the poles or phillipino's her Pal Edward Smallwealth employs.
So there you go folks, I will tell you more tomorrow, anyone have a spare cottage and need the best Handyman/ Butler/ Driver / Medic/ security/ electrician / builder / plumber / decorator / cook / housekeeper in the business, we are the people.

Oh Handy you do have your troubles at the moment
Though I am sorry you will lose your job and your home, I am glad that you got to tell Mrs Hooray what's what. Can you both stay at Mrs H's mum's when it comes to move out?
Take it easy - don't do too much and don't get too wound up eitherfor you and

Thanks 3dogs, No we will have to look for a private rent or try the councils up and down the country. Mrs H wants to go back up North, but I don't.
I will try to explain sometime soon why being in the city or the suberbs isn't a good idea for me. When I get to involved with people I get into trouble, remember my Jonh Wayne story the Army shrink was right.
Still we will see what tomorrow brings, the job was never going to last forever. She wants Lord Hooray in a home ASAP. That way she has a clear field. When that happens we know we are out on our ear anyway. Its Just going to happen sooner.
I may start to post on worried about my future:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Hi Handy
I'm really sorry to hear about the job situation. You and Mrs H are clearly willing to work so I really don't think you'll have too many problems on the work front - there are loads of people crying out to get jobs done around the house and there is a massive shortage of people to do the jobs. You need to find the right area to live in to exploit them though, that's the problem.
Hugs to you, Mrs H and MIL

When hubbie got up friday morning, the side of his face was swollen - as if he had a gobstopper in his mouth - but no pain. A gum boil he called it. He is a real woose when dentists are concerned and of course ignored it. Swollen a bit more on Saturday and he felt quite unwell when doing his car boot, so went to bed most of the afternoon. Tooth started to hurt late that night and was very sore during the night keeping him awake. We still went to car boot this morning but he was not himself due to pain. Abcess.
He was in agony by 4 or 5 o'clock this afternoon and so I rang the NHS helpline who gave me the number for NHS Dental Helpline who got North Cambs Dental Helpine to give me a ring. Advised to go to local out-of-hours minor injury clinic in town and pick up some antibiotics. She gave me a number to ring tomorrow morning to make an appointment for beginning of next week to have tooth out or whatever needed.
He is in bed now, sleeping - but he has taken over his normal dose of strong painkillers today (5 x 2 instead of total of 8) and I think he will need some during the night but hopefully when the antibiotics kick in (they said 24 hours) he should have less pain. They would have given him anti-inflamatories but they had found a fault in his kidney when checking his bladder out when he had the cancer op, so said they could not advise taking any. The swelling is spreading down over his jaw now - I have to take him straight to A & E if it goes to his eyes or neck
Lets see how he is during the night and in the morning - a bit better by then I hope.
So I am off to my bed now - nite handy & spoon if you're still about?Mr 3Dogs 3-7-12
