Handy Love yas .. Your posts are even better when raiding Lord H's stash of laxative :D Just don't mix it with vodka ;)

Sorry wasn't on last night...it wasn't my best of days (well it hasn't been my best of week's but at least I 'aint totally nuts right now :j)

Glad thread is back to normal :j....at one point yesterday I wondered if it was best to lie low for a few days :(... (not literally low...I'm in a tower block and sleep in a high sleeper...that could be a wee bit dangerouz).

Physically I'm improving but now have a blocked ear :( and because I was so tired last night I didn't instant treat :(.

Today is an ECDL test. Am really enjoying the ECDL...fun way of learning (interactive, online - fine unless ya on a netbook :P) and far better than Uni :T. Other than that not sure....few jobs...

Did I tell you guys after 3 weeks I'm back on the bike - it has a name - FREEDOM....argh my beloved bike...my two wheeled batmobile...:A

    I'm in zombie mode..I thought @ 4am it was a 'good' idea to get up..now @ 6 it doesn't seem so wise :P...

and have started daily clicks but doing a google search for thingies old site and subscribing to the thread etc...I'll get there :)..

    Blessings

Good Morning from Scrumpy Land, Warm, Sunny and Dry! I need to ask Lady Hooray if she has seen the news about water shortages. That will give her a scare :eek: So far this week I've topped up the pond, fountain and sprinkled enough water on the lawns to supply a small west country village:)

The next thing will be a 4 figure water bill.

Handy doesnt pay water rates, I'm plugged into the Hoorays Meter :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:.

Cheers all, I need my pint of coffee:beer: handy

Well folks, handy has an admission to make. He’s an addict an having a love affair. Yes its true I am addicted to and deeply in love with MSE. She’s a Luverly Girl called Notice to New comers.
I am going to come over all soppy now. Thanks to all of you.

Those of an age will remember the old CB Radio, (Citizens band) which happened in the late 70’s early 80’s. The 2 way radio’s came from the states, and were smuggled in from Europe. They were deemed illegal by the Government, DTI and Post Office. Thousands of people Honest Law Abiding bought them. There was such a feeling of community.

You would talk all night to a total stranger, your best friend. Things would get serious, silly, happy, sad.

You would all way’s have someone listening to channel 9, the emergency channel. A breakdown, accident, lost child or dog, within minutes dozens if not hundreds of fellow CB’ers would be rushing to help.
If anyone was a nuisance, ignorant or abusive, they would be tracked down and if based at home as most were, someone would sneak up to the house and stick a drawing pin into the Ariel cable. This would short out the radio, rendering them silent for a while.

On Saturday nights Hundreds would go in their cars to motorway service stations to meet. You would find people you had only ever talked too.
During the meet 2 or 3 policemen would pay a visit and be as welcome as a fart in a space suit. They would be totally impotent as there is safety in numbers.

Some of the more enlightened Police fitted CB Radios in their cars and worked with us under assumed identities (handles - Names).

If any of this sounds familiar, then handy says he is glad to be here with you.

Those who say Britain is broken and that we have lost the community spirit are wrong. Its nice to be face to face, But if we cant then this has to be the next best thing.

    Thanks to you all, handy.

Ps my next post will be silly.
ha ha thats a blast from the past handy love it :rotfl::rotfl:

Remember the CB radio very well, we spent most nights chatting away and often meeting up for an "eyeball" :rotfl:
Geebee, Thanks for sharing with me today,:T I too like New age and CW. I have met the late and greatly missed Johnny Cash, as well as seeing Waylon, Willy, Johnny, and Chris = the Highwaymen 3 times.
One of my fav CD’s is The Great Spirit , by Melvin Goodall. Which is based on North American Tribal Music.

I hope you like this one.:)
The Lone Ranger and Tonto are riding across the prairie in search of the bad men.
Suddenly Tonto stops his horse, jumps down and places his ear to the ground. The Lone Ranger watches on, and after a minute Tonto says “Ugh Buffalo Come”.

The Lone Ranger says “Tonto that’s extraordinary, how do you do it?” Can you hear the hoof beats through the ground?
Tonto looks up and says, no Kemo Sabay, Face Sticky.

Lets do dinner sometime, best wishes handy.

Last Post of the night, sleep well everyone. See you all tomorrow, handy.

    :rotfl::rotfl:Love your jokes Handy!..

I have quite a lot of music by Medwyn Goodall, (i think this might be who you mean?) and many other artists as well, i use lots of it for meditation... I also practice Buddhism. I'm a big old melting pot in one little body!.. :rotfl:

I'd love to see Willie Nelson, he has the most amazing voice.. absolutely stunning!.
