This is a total disgrace on Tesco for saying they were dispatched when they said that the dispatched email was a mistake!! Come on,who do they think they are kidding?
My order got cancelled and I sent them an email about it - they "said" OOS when they went to pick my order, yet on the day they phoned and sent me an email, low and behold the same sunglasses were in stock!! I have sent another email but I don't hold out much hope.
I do hope the "dispatched" orders have better luck..0 -

Received the following from Tesco
"Thank you for your email. I am sorry that you received an incorrect email stating your order had been dispatched or returned. I can understand how concerning this must be for you.
I have looked into this for you and have been informed that the items were actually out of stock. There was very high demand for certain items but we've managed to secure more stock and we will honour the 20% promotion that was running at the time you placed the order.
My apologies for any inconvenience this may cause. I look forward to your placing a new order with us.
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact us at clothing@tesco.co.uk
Kind Regards
Patricia Bello
Customer Service Manager
Clothing at Tesco"
Needless to say they have had a reply, and copied to head office of Tesco.
They expect me to buy things from after this fiasco..... I told them straight the chance of that happening!!!!

This morning Consumer Direct rang me. The woman said Tesco were completely in the wrong and we all had a good case. She's told me which legisaltion to quote in letters to them and about taking the matter to small claims courts. She was really helpful and said it was definetley worth persuing.
Also had a reply from Tesco:
"Firstly, I’d like to apologise for the delay in getting back to you. Please let me assure you that we always try to respond to our customers’ queries in a timely manner and I’m sorry that due to high volumes of contact, this has not happened on this occasion.
I'm sorry to learn that your Clothing at Tesco order was returned back to us without even being delivered first. I appreciate how disappointing this must have been for you.
I've checked your order and I can see that the items you ordered were part of the 20% off Menswear sale. Because there was an error on the discount that was deducted the order was cancelled and refunded and I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
A refund of £16.00 has been processed to your payment card for the order and you'll receive a separate e-mail to confirm this. Please can I ask that you allow 3-5 working days for this amount to show in your account.
If you wish to reorder the Kangol sunglasses we'll be happy to honour the 20% discount for you. Just place your order and email us the order number and we'll refund the discount to honour the 20% off menswear offer."
Totally avoid the topic of breaching the contract and the terms and conditions. Going to write a letter to the head officer either tonight or tomorrow and see if that gets any response.0 -
They have credited my account with 20% of my original order, ie £10+, so that I can repurchase the returned goods, which totalled approx £50.ACII and Chartered so now I can focus on learning to play my beautiful Sax. 🎷0

I've been emailing them for a few days now, every reply is from someone new, always avoiding the completion of contract issue. Latest update is they will give me £10 off next order and free delivery. To which I said, still not happy ordering from them, as can't trust them anymore, but I might drop the matter if they make it a gift card instead. Waiting for their latest reply0

Any update from anyone regarding chasing them further for this? They had the cheeks to not even refund the delivery charge back to me, I had to email them demanding for it.0
