    Also paper knickers.

    They're uncomfortable though!

I've saved some old tatty cotton knickers that I'll throw away afterwards. I'd rather be comfy down there than wear paper ones.
Here I go again on my own....

I bought very cheap knickers from Asda, a multi pack which worked out at about 20p a pair, which I'm sure were much more comfortable then paper knickers. When you have just given birth comfort 'down there' is a top priority!

Although they sound uncomfortable, the knickers are soft - although you are better off buying the bigger size. Even if it's just for the first week they are well worth it.
  • Havent been able to read all the posts(I would be here for about a year :D)... but why does know one tell you about the joys of afterpains?????????
When I had my first set of twins(2nd pregnancy) I was convinced a triplet was going to try and pop out! Then some lovely Dr came and pressed on my belly and a million and one gribbly bits(blood and gore) shot out and made the pain a million times worse! I had no pain relief for the labour(breech birth too one of them was) but had pethadine and gas and air for the afterpains!

Thank the lord of pregnant ladies for a section with the second set!

Am I right in thinking you have 2 sets of twins, plus at least one older child!!??????:T :A

I'm sure I saw you in Bluewater a few months ago, trying to get 5 children into the ladies toilets...:p:D Honestly - one older girl, two twin boys, and 1 of each in a pram... (Or if it wasn't you, then it was your twin...:p )
    The IVF worked;DS born 2006.

Oh Dear God, I am absolutely and utterly terrified! I am only 22 so not planning baby for another 6/7 years but not so sure now? I wanted four kids! I've named them and everything...

I don't think I can do it!

    • No-one tells you that two days after the birth you wake up with two BOWLING BALLS on your chest that sting if the wind blows ;)
    • No-one tells you that when your waters break on their own acord with a good aim you can hit everyone in the delivery room ;)
    • No-one tells you it REALLY is like stuffing a melon down the top of a milk bottle ;)
    • No-one COULD tell you how totally and unconditionally you fall in love and forget it ALL in minutes :)

  • r bits private to yourself and your partner that when it comes to giving birth you would let your postman see your bits if you thought he could help get that damb baby out!!!

that no amount of gas and air or pethidine will really take the pain away! They just make you say stupid things as you are ready to push like "yes but you need to bring the car to your dad" and "Im going to adopt all my kids, i dont want this one"

and whoever it was said about other babies crying making ur bbs gush a river - genious lol, its so so true! drives me potty still!

r bits private to yourself and your partner that when it comes to giving birth you would let your postman see your bits if you thought he could help get that damb baby out!!! :rotfl: How TRUE is this :rotfl: with DD1 I was asked if students could attend (I was about 9cm when asked this)! I told them they could bring in the whole TA if they got it out!!

that no amount of gas and air or pethidine will really take the pain away! They just make you say stupid things as you are ready to push like "yes but you need to bring the car to your dad" and "Im going to adopt all my kids, i dont want this one" :rotfl: Again so TRUE :rotfl: DD2 this time, I was covered in sweat, sick and goodness knows what other bodily fluid, legs akimbo awaiting a forceps delivery when I turned to OH and asked *Do you still fancy me now* - :rotfl: He says he daren't say anything but yes :p

and whoever it was said about other babies crying making ur bbs gush a river - genious lol, its so so true! drives me potty still! Or even just saying BABY

Your post made me laugh SO much :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
