Snaggles wrote:Is it helping? I've tried nibbling digestives, rich tea biscuits, rice cakes, drinking/eating ginger, boiled sweets, peppermints, dry toast, rice pudding.......the list goes on........ I've been wearing sea sickness bands that help for a couple of hours but then the effects wear off.
Biscuits are helping for me, and drinking peppermint tea.
I'm still really sicky though - more than I remembered. I've just struggled to eat half a slice of toast and I gagged on most of itHere I go again on my own....0 -
Talking of morning sickness, if you're at work, how do you hide the fact that you've got morning sickness? I wouldn't want to tell any until I'd had my first scan, but now I'm thinking that it would be almost impossible to keep a secret if my colleagues see me rushing to the toilet every morning.
Sorry a never-been-pregnant-person speaking here, but I am curious, as if I ever have children, I'd be in this situation!0 -
Tell them you have IBS and have to get to the toilet quickly, just don't cover your mouth! otherwise they will know. If there is a 'nice' thing about morning sickness, it doesn't normally hit you just in the morning, pretty much all day if you get it. You might not get morning sickness, some lucky people don't...me? I hurled my guts up or just felt like I would!Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY0

tell them you have a milk allergy or something which makes ya hurl, or blood pressure problems or migraine
loopsTHE CHAINS OF HABIT ARE TOO WEAK TO BE FELT UNTIL THEY ARE TOO STRONG TO BE BROKEN... :A0 -
I had really bad morning sickness and gave up hiding the fact as people were guessing any way0

i managed to keep my last pregnancy a secret from my boss until i was
24 weeks . he made my last pregnancy so stressful that i didn't want him to know until much later this time. i did tell one of the ladies i worked with early on .
i was sick until 16 weeks but luckily only first thing in the morning so by the time i got to work i was fine ( unless i smelt coffee or cigarettes:eek: ).
If possible when off to the loo carry a clipboard or pad and pencil then you look like you are going off to do some work:rotfl:

Not a cure for morning sickness but apparently Bounty Bars don't taste too bad when they reappear GF found this out by accident and her friend was so grateful for the advice when she had 24-7 morning sickness.

i found that susking on a fruit pastille helped when i had morning sickness - i have never heard it before or since, but it definately worked for me. i used to travel by bus in the morning and was always paranoid about throwing up!!! i now drive thankfully!Lead me not into temptation, I can find the way myself.
