I think you were probably lacking cake!:D
Never let your cake levels get to low during pregnancy
My mum craved Jaffa Cakes during her pregnancy with me and I can't stand the things. Similarly, I craved strawberries when I was expecting my son and he can't stand them. Is there a pattern emerging here, or is it coincidence?Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -
My son loves cake.....
he loves bagels at the moment, very bizarre. With philly and ham. I am sure he is a 35yr old trapped in a 4yr olds body!Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY0 -
to everyone that has posted.
My OH and I are thinking of having a baby in the next few years and my goodness this thread has been an eye opener.
I started reading it as I thought it might put me off having a baby for a little while. However, I must say that it hasn't (am I odd???)
I am not the most assertive person and this is the main thing that concerns me with some of the posts I have read. Must learn to stand up for myself with the midwives if it is nessary.
I do like the thought of a water birth though (always have).
Thanks again everyone.
Not sure how to thank everyone for the posts using the thank you button0 -

I quite liked the thought of going to sleep and waking up 3 days later in a beauty salon with a perfect little baby gurgling by my side.Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Fool me three times and I'll smash your face in.0 -
the midwife thingy person said to me "how do you want the baby to be born" !!!! WOT?? she meant, did i want it putting straight onto me from birth, i said good god woman, dont they come washed and dressed? ill be having a little sleep afterwards wont i???? she kinda scowled at me...
then she said have you any preference to sex ....my reply dont even mention THAT... she said for the baby??? i said "oh can i choose, in that case ill have a girl please"... more scowling from her...
once in labour all i wanted to do was kneel up on the bed, helping gravity i thought, it was such a strong instinctive feeling, the cow of a midwife wouldnt let me move from flat on my back....
Mmmm if i wudda known i could have argued about this i would have done...
so anyone out there.... do what YOU want, when YOU want, unless of course there is a medical reason not too....
oh and dont choose the girl option..... its a nightmare.... lol...now i wonder whose used all my posh shampoo & conditioner, and where are my best shoes????
loopsTHE CHAINS OF HABIT ARE TOO WEAK TO BE FELT UNTIL THEY ARE TOO STRONG TO BE BROKEN... :A0 -
Because my son was sideways I was admitted a week before he was removed, the midwife told me if my waters broke I was to scream and get on my hands and knees with my bottom in the air........I said....hmmmm, I am pretty sure that is what got me into this situation in the first place.....the whole ward was laughing their faces off...the midwife was laughing as well.Oh....I'm not going to lie to you......At the end of the day, when alls said and done......do you know what I mean.........TIDY0

I have been in for an appointment this morning and I think the best kept secret is just how much money you spend in the hospital on parking!!!!!! I am 29weeks and I have spent over £20 on parking in my local hospital car park.
