Pencil or liquid eyeliner

i dont usually put it under my eyes because it smudges. Have been looking for a liquid eyeliner that doesnt dissappear by the end of the day for years!0

Personally I don't put liner under my eyes generally. My liquid liner lasts all day, just have to wait for it to dry before you put your mascara on! xI have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off

i use both liquid and pencil and love all the colours available - especially if matching to the eyeshadow. i prefer liquid liner for evening do's as it's less likely to smudge and sho w up more with a more defined line. i prefer the pencils for day and its quicker to use too. if a little smudges - it's part of the look! i prefer the ones you sharpen as i have noticed that the twist up ones don't last too long maybe a couple of months only, and feel a bit dry when getting towards the end of the stick, meaning i have to drag it across the eyelid, not nice or good. also the minute sharpeners included are useless as you shave half the product away. the basic pencils tend to be protected by the wood around it. oh and its easier to use pencil on the bottom waterline as the liquid gets poked in my eye and i can't get a straight line!0

I use a solid block that is mixed with a little bit of water, MAC do them for about a fiver and they last forever! I have a very thin artist's brush to apply it with, it always comes out as a solid black line and stays put, all day. Couldn't recommend it enough!"Live each day as if it were your last and garden as though you will live forever"

Several years back, Rimmel (I think) used to make a liner that was like using a felt tip pen. Absolutely brilliant, lasted and so easy to apply - like a wet pencil... no dragging.
Why do they stop making the things I like??Genie

17, Bourjois and Collection 2000 still do them. It's all I ever use. I find the normal liquid too fiddly, the brush is too floppy to control, and pencils just smudge within minutes.

Oh brilliant - which is the nicest to hold and are they pricey? I used to like to line my inner bottom eyelid with a pencil - but the L'Oreal one I used to use - has been discontinued and others seem to make my eyes itch like hell!
Correction - it was an Estee Lauder pencil - the L'Oreal makes me itch!
Edit: Just been on Boots site - so many..... do you have a link to the ones you mention?Genie

I've used the collection 2000 liquid eye liner for years and not had any problems with it. Stays on all day (or until you rub your eyes) and gives a real defined look. Plus its not very dear, so very MSE too!!
