f1 - right thats me done no more housework...I only need an excuse :rotfl:
psso - little J at school already where did all that time go
Totally agree re the housework - I always thought it was a health hazard.
Little J is only at nursery school (he`s three and a half) although the way time is flying he`ll soon be up there with the big boys and girls.
Enjoy your time at the van Pippa.
Bit more of the blanket now done and maltesers consumed so off now to bed.

Morning all.
Yes Jean, I was very good and shared my maltesers with you AND Pippa. One for me,one for Jean, one for Pippa, one for me one for Jean etc........until they were all gone.:D We didn`t even have to share with little J as he was in bed by the time we opened them.....not good for his teeth anyway.
Blankie coming on, only have ten more strips to do then assemble it all and put on the border.
Also have a Sands style blanket on the go, it`s done in pink / white random type yarn so not sure where it will go when finished.
Chalky - had a look in your `world` and my mouth was watering at the sight of all those delicious looking foods. They did look sooooo yummy
Shaz - hope you are enjoying all those grandma cuddles.
Ginny - how are things with you today? `Arthur` is such a pest, he sometimes visits here too and it always seems to be when I want to be getting on with something and he just has to rear his ugly head. Grrrrr.
Waiting for the gas man to come and service the boiler today. He`s supposed to be here between 12 - 2 so we`ll see how reliable the `2 hour slot for your convenience` is.
SIGH....I suppose I`d better go and have a quick shove round with the hoover before then and at least have some semblence of organisation
Organised and me are not usually bosom buddies.Haha.Fully paid up member of S.A.B.L.E.

First of all, RIP to Toots; I remember her posts. So sad to lose another OS poster so soon after Squeaky.
It's definitely a bit cooler here in the mornings and evenings, but it warms up during the day. Plays havoc with deciding what to wear!
Mrs Moneypenny - I love the bag and the cardi!
Jean - I hope life is becoming less challenging for you. The ribbon scarves on the snowpeeps are inspired! Good thinking!
Ginnyknit - I hope Arthur has gone, along with your frozen shoulder, and I hope all those appointments go well. The not-so-nice sister is on her way again - in early October - but at least she texted to let the really-lovely-sister know this time, and she is NOT whisking Mum away again. She may have taken on board what we said in our letters to her. She is only staying for a weekend and we suspect it is because she is going to a friend's party in the same town! It's the first time anyone has heard from her since we started ignoring her.
F1 - the crafting den sounds wonderful but make sure you can transfer it indoors in cold weather!
Chalky - glad you arrived safely. Sewing-machine-taming is well and truly on the back burner for now; I've been asked to write 20,000 words across twenty articles about virtual phone systems and automated customer support (!) Can't complain because the pennies are very handy but, boy, was I looking forward to playing seamstresses instead! Still, I can treat myself to some more fabric as well as more wool - once I've done the work, of course!
Elaine - the shifting pensions thingy is a real pain, isn't it? Many of us are now dipping out of what is rightfully ours, and it makes me really cross.
Anyway, back to work; I stopped for coffee and thought I would come on here and catch up with you all. You all keep me grounded and keep me sane!
Have a great day, everyone.

I admire you so much Kathyi would not want to write 20 words about that!!!!
Lots of love to one and all. Some quiet crafting going on here but lots more sorting going on!!!!!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Chalky - I said 'yes' before I started the research; now I'm wondering if I did the right thing! Still, it's a challenge! DH is - finally - tiling the bathroom (because we eventually found some tiles we both agreed on), so he's occupied and does not keep interrupting me, which helps! Having said that, I have done 900 words and think it's time for a cuppa so that is what I am going to do right now! I hope both the sorting and the crafting are going well!

Kathy pleased you have some work coming in, every penny helps. Sounds like you have sorted out your horrible sister, its such a shame when one isnt singing from the same song sheet. All that is important is that your Mum and other sister are treated with respect by her as they both have had such major life changes to cope with.
Psso your poor hubby, running away to work to get away from you
F1 you sound in fine spirits, love the sound of the garden refuge.
Arthur-itis is under control - touch wood and shoulder eased off too. second appointment went well today and another problem on its way to being solved. Then we had a phone call from a mental health support worker and he told he all about his breakdowns and suicide attempts so she is putting things in place - massive weight off my shoulders.
Chalky your blog posts are lovely, adore the blanket, I must put together some yarn for one like it. How long are you away for? and is the weather being kind?
DS back from Vegas on Saturday, sounds like he had a wonderful time but I do miss him popping round and ringing me. Oddly DGs is more like him than his Mummy, both boys are my bliss, my DD is my best friend and her fella is the one who comes and rescues me in a crisis - often!Clearing the junk to travel light
Saving every single penny.
I will get my caravan0 -
Hi everyone
Ginnyknit - thank you for your kind words. I am so glad that things have started to go right for you; I hope it continues.
I have just popped in with a coffee before I get back to my writing work. I wanted to pass this link on http://www.bookdepository.co.uk/
They will deliver books - completely free of shipping charges - to anywhere in the world. I know this will be handier for people like Jean and I who are not in the UK, and of course Chalky when she's in Spain but, nevertheless, it's a great service. There are lots of books available including loads and loads of craft books.
Will call back later; hope you are all having a bit more sun than we have which is absolutely none at all!
