Hubby in bed again, in a lot of pain, just hoping we get answers at the hospital this week or after the MRI next week..[/QUOTE]

So sorry your OH is in pain - I recommend you contact your GP for immediate help - pain is the one thing that can be managed - the GP will probably need to refer to the Consultants notes but all the info should be available. However you may need to insist - make a nuisance of yourself !!!

We were at the pain clinic last week, they dont seem to be able to control his pain, have been trying for 6 years. He has fentanyl patches, pain killers and theres still no let up - its nerve damage thats the original problem - his sciatic nerve was destroyed by a misplaced injection when he was going into renal failure 6 years ago. Anyway I will keep on fighting for something to be resolved and hopefully the next 2 visits will sort things out. He is struggling with the new groin pain just hoping it isnt the cancer.

Ankat am definately going to buy the rabbit pattern on Thursday when I get my spends, I want to make a family of little rabbits for DGS.

Hi everyone. I hope you are all well. I thought I was well over my bug but it keeps coming back and bothering me, so I'm still having to do things slowly. I think we girls are very good at thinking we are better, doing too much, then paying for it later!

Ginnyknit - I do hope the doctors have been able to help your OH with the pain he has been suffering. Sending lots of hugs to you both.

Anakat - your rabbit is truly gorgeous! Little Cotton Rabbits is a wonderful blog, and I really admire how that lady copes with her autistic son.

F1 - hope you are recovering well and following doctors orders!

Chalky - hope you arrived safely and that you get the internet sorted soon; I hate being without it!

I have done the update, which you can find here:

I love how I can just copy and paste the link, thanks to Jean!

Take care, everyone. Hope the sun is shining for you as it is for us here; I was beginning to doubt that summer was ever going to arrive, but it's beautiful right now.

  • First of all I am to pass on Maytaurus' best wishes to you all. We had a lovely meal together on our first night in the UK. She has found this last year a real struggle, the death of her mum followed closely by not only her father but her only uncle, as well as her health issues its really has taken its toll on her and the family. She has promised to try really hard over the coming months and catch up with us all.

I am really having a struggle after my long holiday - think I may need to rethink how I do holidays in future - don't get me wrong I love being away but oh boy when you get back there is such a lot to catch up with not helped this last week with haymaking.

I am sending lots of love and cuddles to you all and I will catch up with the postings sometime soon I hope. I did miss you all so much.

I hope you are having a lovely time in Spain chalky, we will see you back in Devon in a few weeks for our next excursion :)

I have to go so TTFN see you all tomorrow

Pippa, the post office deserve to be put out of business, soon it will be cheaper for me to drive to Mrs Twins and deliver the blankets. I have a stack of parcels here waiting to be posted and trying to scrape the pounds together to do it. They have seriously slowed down my ability to help others

Been to the hospital and good news its not the cancer causing the new added pain :j however it could be many other things and we will have to wait till the results come back from next weeks scan. the doc was amazed how fast the pain clinic doc managed to get a scan ordered, it would have taken months through his hospital. He is still available anytime we need him as is the dedicated cancer nurse so thats good. Now the next hurdle Thursdays scan and the wait for the results.
Am off to do some more sewing as I have a half share in a stall at a crafty bring and buy on saturday - hey I have a social life :rotfl:

evening all, hope everyone is ok,
ginnyknit, (((hugs))) for you and your hubby. i dont know what strength your hubby is on, but i'm also on fentanyl patches, and believe the dose can be increased up to 100mcg, hope the doctors can help him feel less pain.
i'm with you in putting the post office out of business, what with bedroom tax and council tax hitting me hard this year, and royal mail increases, i'm struggling to post things too, and currently only making things for local charities or charities that are done collectively at our local church. at the mo they are now collecting hats for the seafarers, so thats mine and mums next project, as we have been doing teddies for a local disabled kids charity, but fancy a change.
welcome back roamin, pippa, and anyone else who has been away
hugs to all poorlies, carers and anyone else who fancies a hug
