Hi everyone
Chalky - well done on what must have been a difficult task.
ISOM - I wish you a speedy recovery after your emergency op.
Shaz - hope things work out well for you and Josh.
Well, believe it or not, I have actually just done the update which can be found by clicking on Roamin's name at the side of one of her posts, then going to her 'homepage'. Jean - I really must see if I can find another way of posting it with a link from me. As I no longer have a blog (mainly because I don't seem to have the time these days!), I'll see if there's another way.
F1 - thanks for your update - I have added your shawl/shoulder wrap to the 'Scarves' category.
Thanks for all the updates. I managed 1 teddy and 2 scarves, which I have added to the totals.
My BIL is in hospital today having a gastroscopy to see if he can have an operation to remove some of the tumours that are causing him discomfort. He's unable to eat properly and the doctors are hoping they can help him in some way. He is under ten stone now (and this a man who is usually a fighting fit healthy twelve to thirteen stone) and he also feels the cold badly; my sister says he is still keeping positive and she has no idea how he does it, bless him. Mum is still doing well but is still awaiting her new glasses which she was promised she would have last week, so Sis is chasing that up today.
We are hoping to hear something from the agent this week re the couple who have viewed the house twice. Our land sale, which we were told by the Notaire would complete around the third week of February, is still not finalised, despite both us and the buyers trying to get things moving along, so the buyer is going to 'kick some a$$' today - hearing that said with a French accent is one of the funniest things I have ever heard (now I wonder who taught him that - DH that's who!). Anyway, with any luck, things will happen this week.
Tomorrow, we have been invited for coffee to be introduced to a friend's twelve-week-old border collie puppy; he's called Ikey and I can't wait to meet him, so that's something to look forward to.
I hope the weather is not causing too many problems for you all. Here, it's a bit milder but we are not getting much sun, just a lot of low cloud. Still, it's nothing compared to what we've been seeing on the news about the UK.
Keep safe, warm, and dry, everyone.

ISOM hope you feel better soon, once the stitches are healing you will find life without a gall bladder is a nicer place. I had mine done many years ago after a lot of suffering and never looked back.
Chalky, huge hugs for finishing the job at MIL's such a hard task. xx
Shaz that boy of yours is a worry for you but at least he comes to Mum for help still.
I have the lurgy, started on Thursday, head cold and aches, then Migraine with it Friday, period pains saturday and swollen eye Saturday night. I think I may be a tad run down. Kids have been wonderful and looked after me. Luckily I cook ahead so little to do and DGS came over and gave me hugs on Saturday but we only had him a few hours while Mummy worked. Now she is off for 2 weeks to get ready for her house move so Im not on call.
Bad news Hubby is feeling achy and has headed off to bed, but at least he wont be having period pains with his lurgy :rotfl: tea is made just got to hoover the floor and Im done for the day, so may do a little knitting. Hope you are all safe and warm hugs GinnyClearing the junk to travel light

Sorry I haven't posted for a while; it's been a busy (and worrying) time. My son hasn't been in touch for a few weeks, then when he finally rang it was to tell me about all sorts of problems. Can't stop worrying about them however old they get, can you?
I hope all those with problems are managing to get along despite the horrendous weather. It's so hard to look back and think a year ago we were walking round in T-shirts enjoying the sunshine and high temperatures. Now all we see on the TV news is snowdrifts and stories of power cuts.
I'm back in England for a few weeks; we were supposed to be getting replacement windows - it was delayed for a week because of a fire at the factory - just been told it will be delayed for at least another week, probably more as that will be the Easter weekend.
In our French house I'm working on a blanket - it was originally going to be just a throw, but DH has decided it ought to be extended into a double bedspread which means it will take three times as long to finish... but it will certainly be good for the stash busting!
Can someone remind me how to change my signature on here, please? I want to update but can't see how to edit it...
