Shaz - please don't be hard on yourself. You did the right thing although it must be so distressing for you. He might be alone in the cells but he's not in any danger. I shall keep you and your family in my thoughts and please don't forget that we are here for you - post at any time. I only wish I could give you some real-life support, instead of a virtual shoulder to cry on.

Just popped on -- and am so sad to read of the latest distress for you Shaz As always the friends on here have said all the right, wonderful things. So much support is here for you and I am so sorry you are having to deal with this.
I can only imagine what a night you have had but maybe some good will come out of this and someone will answer the cry for help which you have been shouting for far too long now. You are all in my thoughts and hope things get much calmer soon
Try and do a good deed every day.

morning all, barely got an hours sleep last night, and am exhausted.
thankyou all for being there for me.
the police are waiting for the cps to make a decision on whether to charge him or not, daniel is denying the assault, so its my word against his, they did ask josh if he'd like to make a statement, but he dosent, and i'm fine with that.
til the cps makes a decision, they are keeping him the cells, i pray he is home later today
    hugs all

Shaz, I am so sorry to hear of your latest trouble. Please don't blame yourself, you did what was best for all your family because you love them. Hopefully someone will give Daniel some help soon.
I wish I could offer you some help, I don't live very far from Wakefield and you will always be welcome if you want to have a cuppa and a natter. Sorry I can't come to you, I can't get out on my own, use a wheelchair, and I'm not allowed to drive.
PM if there's anything I can do.
Much love to you all, I shall be thinking of you.

Hi Soccky - so sorry to hear of your troubles with Daniel. Is his social worker on hand for when you go to collect him? Obviously the police have decided that whatever his difficulties he is responsible for his actions and has to learn self control - do his social/medical carers agree? if so (and presumably a social worker was called to attend the interview if you weren't) then has anyone any suggestions for medication or therapy to help him control his behaviour?
Or is everyone now saying that his physical and aggressive outbursts are nothing to do with his condition as such and so he has to take full responsibility?

Big hugs to you anyway, hope that your meeting not too traumatic.

Sock-knitter - Im so glad he is on his way home - hopefully things will be ok with you tonight - I still get this distinct thought that you have no "powers that be" helping you here and feel very  - Im assuming he is still classed as a "minor" - still its not good me ranting - all that matters are that you and he are ok - take very good care - dont forget anytime pm me xxx

DS has left for a couple of days with his nan and granddad which will be good for him (and me and DH tee hee) - I wont be too rude but thought it might make you chuckle ........ there might be an air of romance about the place tonight :p;);):D:p

Will pop back later - hugs jaqui xxx

ooh jacqui, sounds like you got a fun filled night planned, enjoy hun, you deserve it
social worker was with daniel as appropriate adult when he was charged and brought him home. first thing we did as soon as i saw him was have a huge hug, and he said sorry, and that he had missed me.
at any age over 10 they are rsponsible for their own actions, despite any difficulties they may have, he has ben bailed to attend court on the 8th sep.
mary, i would love to meet you for a chat and a natter, we could have our own mini knitting group lol. whereabouts are you?, pm me if you dont want to say on forum
cant thank you all enough for the support you have given me,
    big hugs

evening ladies - sock-knitter - you dont know how pleased i am that he is home and you have had a good old hug (and pleased that there was a "power that be" reasonably helping) do you think this will spur them into giving you more help with him?????

I just hope you can all sit down have a lazy night lots of hugs (hot chocolate ..... or something stronger for you!) - there is clearly so much love in your house and you lot deserve a break you really do
Hoping you have a really good nights sleep tonight will be thinking of you xxxx

PS SHocked that at 10 they are responsible for their actions (oh lord DS is 10 next year really they are a worry arent they!)
