Hi everyone, and thank you so much for your birthday wishes! They were much appreciated. We had a lovely meal at our local restaurant last night, along with one or three (or four, in my case!) glasses of the falling-down stuff. The restaurant is only five minutes away but we had to drive because the journey is down a long unlit country road, and we'd have had trouble getting back home! The French don't do street-lighting in the hamlets! Both boys and their lovely families Skyped last night before we went out, which was wonderful. We're already planning for my next birthday (a big one!), which we hope will be something special back home in the UK. We have a whole year to work on it!
Pippa - but I AM 21, honest!! Sometimes I actually do feel 21; at other times, I feel 101!
Well, I'd better go and get the breakfast things out. Will pop back later. Hope you all have a good day, and hugs to all those in need.

Hi
Belated birthday wishes to you mioliere :-)
Love the sheep. Lot's of busy hands going on with you all at the moment :-) I'm doing some more fingerless gloves with an attached mitt. Finished one. Was going to go into my gift box, but I like them too much, so I think they're going to end up being mine :-)
Be blessed and prosperous. Hugs to all who need one ((((hugs)))) Love you all.

lovely sheep anakat.
salome, i was going to knit fingerless gloves with the flaps on for myself for a winter treat, who knows i may end up being able to do them before the really bad weather
today i perservered and managed to cast on enough sts for a smoothie hat, and knitted a couple of rows, it was difficult, and a bit uncomfortable with the cast on my wrist, but i was so happy just for being able to do a tiny bit of knitting
hugs all

I cant remember whether I have told you all or not but DS and I entered the Village show and Im ashamed to say I got nothing other than a few strange comments (my card was too busy, my wedding cake out of proportion and my cross stitch not lined up in the frame! -BUT DS WON THE CUP FOR THE JUNIOR SECTION - 2 firsts and a third - ooo I was one proud mum - knitting, flapjack and space model (im over the failure now promise :rotfl:)
As for knitting I feel so very guilty as Ive immersed myself in c*******s present making and have done no charity knitting I only have three more hats to make and my 40 homeless hats are finished ready to be shipped to The Soup Kitchen in Northampton
I seem to have a long list of "knitting" to do's - and as i said before I have a small "mojo" for clearing out cupboards and loft, an ironing pile bigger than mount everest and a washing pile to match! plus the every day surface damage blah blah blah ..................
Anyway im away to try and get DS settled cant seem to get him in the routine of bed early after the holidays
Love and hugs to all xxxxDebt Diary: Im not going to be an Ostrich anymore -LBM - 16/1/12 /0 -
