Mrs M you are a saint and we should all follow your scone-sharing example. I'll get my coat!
Had the first peas from the garden today - just growing 5 plants up netting and canes in a pot (to try and save them from slugs and snails) but as only one to feed it's ok to get just a handful at a time. They were quite yummy, but still a green veg and not scone etc!
I've been haveing a go at the mock cable hat too - so much easier not to have to twiddle about with a cable needle - and I'm doing a cowl for me for winter in moss stitch on a circular needle. No pattern and I think that I may have done it with rather too big a diameter but I've done too much to undo it all now so will see how it pans out and turn it into something else if it really isn't wearable.0 -

Hi - just managed to find my way into here - I heard that a lot of the BEST charity knitters hung out around here, and thought I would see if I could play with the big kids.

I see you Karla - how could you be on LH all this time and not know about this group too - we have dozens of them on LH as well - pretending to be good girls - but we know better of course ;0)0

hello momma bear; welcome to the other side..good ones here and on LH and of course at other places too!!
Socky bound to take a while to settle down after the moves as a huge change in lifestyle for all of you. Lovely that the kids can pop in to see you but you know that they are supported where they are. Just make sure that you make them take responsibility for their finances as not doing them any favors to bail them out as they then never learn moderation and money management!
seakay good that youve mustered some energy to get into the garden and have your own beans; mum bought a courgette home last night...slightly odd shape but sure edible!
In the process of spinning some red wool for a spinning project with the guild that I go to. V exciting!
Mrs M ...ironing...yeugh!

Pippa -- Do you remember our happy meeting -- I don't think I have made scones since, but with DSIL visiting from Bonnie Aberdeen -- The land of Elaine - A batch had to go in the oven. Lots of love to you and dear OH X
Yes I certainly do, and I also remember when we went back to Carrievan you sent us on our way with scones, jam and clotted cream ooo they were lovely... I made a batch to take down to the van this time as OH loves them...we sat in the awning watching TV drinking tea and eating those "meltinthemouthilitious" (is that right psso)? scones...
My mouth is watering now

Hi Gaffer - I had seen it mentioned from time to time, but did not really twig on to it. Everyone fed, dishes done, Matthew and kids watching re-run of the Crystal Maze, which I detest, so sitting in bed with a hot water bottle on my poor aching back, and thought I would check it out. We had an outing yesterday, as Matthew was off - drove to Govan, took the Clyde Ferry across to the new Riverside Museum, then went on the Tall Ship, the Glenlee. We had a nice day for it, but it was a bit too much for my poor body! I have been suffering all day! Have to get off my lazy backside in a few mins to go put my wee man to bed, as Matthew is going across the road to Mum's new house that she will be moving into this coming weekend, and finish laying her floor. Bless him, he is good. Anyway, just goofing off for a little while before the fun starts again! Ben does not go to bed easily, although it is getting easier. He is just having his snack, then it is teeth, dry nappy, story, and then kisses and toys, then one of us has to sit next to his bed until he falls asleep or he won't settle. Argh. He is getting better, but it still takes at least 20 mins (on a good night) or up to an hour or more (on a bad night!)!
Oh well, Mummy back on duty again.

Read the important posting, will look out the Woolligans after bedtime duty is over. I know that I am supposed to be dieting, but there is a tub of haagen daz in the freezer with my name on it tonight. Pralines and Cream, makes me drool just thinking about it.
