    Hi everyone, it's me again.

I've just been looking at the photos in my camera to put on my blog and found this one. Then I remembered that I hadn't told you all about where the goodies came from. You'll remember that I was feeling a bit down lately, mainly due to missing the family, and living on a building site for so long. I opened the mail box one morning, and just look what Chalky had sent me - four balls of the most beautiful wool, some lovely buttons, and some fantastic trims which I can use on gifts, cards and so on! Thank you so much, Chalky - it was so kind and thoughtful, it made me cry (in a good way, of course!)

Welcome Hunnybeeanz! Glad you are enjoying the IS hats - campaign has been going a few years now so pretty confident it'll be with us next year.

If you put your weeks charity knitting in a post in red on a Sunday then your efforts will be added to the spreadsheet on Moliere's blog

  • Oh Dear, Sock-knitter! My heart goes out to you. Kids are certainly a trial when they put their minds to it! Hopefully all worth it in the long run though.
My eldest is only just 5, so I can't grumble much about him, but we fostered my sister between 13 & 16 years old, and it was Hell on Earth hah hah! Absolutely nightmarish. She was off the rails entirely, taking advantage of the internet, skipping school, stealing etc.

    (((( hugs ))))

    Hi everyone.

Chalky - poor DD2. In a way I can understand the friend wanting to be back home with family for Christmas (believe me, it's what I want, as you know!) but I thought they'd be in this adventure together. After all, it's a once-in-a-lifetime chance to celebrate Christmas Aussie-style. I really feel for your DD; it must have come as a shock to her. Has she people she can stay with? Great photos, by the way!

Shaz - difficult as it must be, you did the right thing callling the police. I do hope things improve for you soon; you certainly deserve it. Sending (((hugs))) to you - hope today is a good one.

Well, we are off to the farm again straight after breakfast. We left last night after about ten hours working flat out, and it looked fantastic; not quite finished but almost there. It was all hands on deck with five women and four men all doing their bit. We kept joking about it being like 60 Minute Makeover - Not! How they do what they do on that programme in 60 minutes is too much to believe, I'm afraid! Anyway, we've transformed a leaking freezing cold depressing looking barn into a wonderful cafe with a comfy little seating area at one end in front of a glowing wood-burner. All the tables and chairs are set up now and waiting for customers. I lost count of how many cups, saucers, teapots and so on I washed up yesterday. Most of the Christmas decorations are up and the owners were doing the tree later on in the evening. They are whacked out - it didn't help that the night before, one of their sows decided to give birth to eight little black piglets, and the were up until three in the morning! They now have three litters - twenty four gorgeous little piggies in all! So cute and one would easily fit in a handbag - I'm so tempted! The pet pig, Sausage, wanted to join in with all the work going on in the barn and had a real sulk when she was kept out! I couldn't believe it - she behaved like a very spoilt toddler! She upset a huge bin of water I was using for washing things out - I had to keep shoving her out of the way, not easy because she's massive! Anyway, she will be kept well out of the way today.

The whole event kicks off at 10am and goes on until 5pm. There will be several stalls going up so people will be arriving early to set them up, and we will get there as early as we can. I am looking forward to it all but not as much as I'm looking forward to chilling out tomorrow! Anyway, I will report back on how it all goes.

Well, I've waffled on enough, I think.

I hope you all have a great day.
