Hi everyone,
Beautifully bonkers luvvies Chalky, a change from teds anyway and suitable for little hands to play with.
Horrible weather so I`m huddled in a corner hibernating, only going out when I HAVE to.
Been having some challenging times here so not very sociable at the mo, but I will survive.
Back into lurkdom I go .................

Have just completed an Innocent Smoothie hat, took me about half hour or so from start to end
I know it isn't time for them yet, but it'll be nice to have a stash of them, and if they don't run it again, I'm sure I can find a use for them, they're so cute!!!
So, for charity knitting, I have 1 baby hat and 1 IS hat :T
My 5 y/o son asked me last night to knit his teddy some clothes as his bear is getting "tired of borrowing from the doll" (his words not mine LOL!!!)
So, I guess thats my duty for small projects  :rotfl:
Oh well, at least he isn't too cool for my knitting yet!

Hi everyone.
Welcome back DPixie - we were only thinking about you the other day. Sorry to hear about your Auntie. Hope she is feeling a lot better now. It's great to have you back!
Honeybeanz - a very warm welcome to you. I do hope you enjoy it here. The IS hat campaign runs every year so I'd be surprised if they ever stop it - it's a great way to use up odd scraps of wool, isn't it? Your little boy sounds really cute!
Chalky - your new creations are lovely! Well done!
Well, we spent all day yesterday up at the farm cleaning and getting ready for the big day on Saturday. The couple who run the farm used to run a hotel in Yorkshire and they seem to have bought the entire contents of it to France and packed them in a barn - you wouldn't believe the stuff we've been digging out! I've moved and cleaned loads of tables and chairs, along with lots of other bits and pieces, tons of cutlery, china and so on, and Christmas decorations. DH has almost finished the hearth for the wood burner; he's back up there today but I'm taking the day off because a) my hands are hurting and b) my house needs some attention and the housew**k fairy hasn't been here all week! I shall be back up there tomorrow putting the Christmas decorations up - the bit I'm really looking forward to. To top it all off, I've come home with a huge filet mignon and loads of bacon, which they insisted we take as a thank you. Anyway, when it's all finished, I shall take some photos and post them on here.
We've had such a laugh there, it's been a real tonic. The couple who run the farm work very hard but they are such good company that it's done me the world of good being up there. One of the funniest things is that they have loads of free-range chickens running about the farm and one of them fancies DH! Every time he goes outside, it makes a beeline for him - it's been the subject of many a quick oneliner and we've been falling on the floor laughing about it, especially when he's washing buckets out with the outside tap - the chicken sits in between his legs watching!
Anyway, tomorrow will be the last big push before doors open on Saturday - I'm serving teas and coffees and I'm not sure what DH is doing - fending off his new 'bird', I expect!
May - if you're reading this, I hope you are well and truly on the mend.
Pippa - I think I'll be relaxing a bit once Saturday has been and gone. It's just been so hectic lately and the farm people were really panicking about being ready in time; it's been great to know that we've really been helping. I must admit, though, that I'm looking forward to spending a bit more time with the woolly stuff but my hands will need a bit of a rest, too. I hope you've been enjoying your new car!
Anyway, I'll pop back later when I have my coffee break! Have a great day, all of you!
