Lots of love to one and all..... It was just a thought for the new year and I agree that I would hate to lose contact with anybody. Change is always hard and maybe as has already been discussed we could easily keep both operating systems ... Here and Facebook.

The opportunity for easy pictures would allow us to share tutorials and might give us the boost we need which would energise this thread too.

Our continued friendship us the most important thing xxxxx

Mrs Mp you can have a Fb page and just leave it there and only pop on to see the private group, you dont hve to put any private info on the page and use Mrs Moneypenny as your name so no one will know you - just n idea xx

Im member of a private group on there and no one even knows we exist, our posts only show on the members private page and its soooo easy to put a pic on, you literally use 2 clicks.

Im happy to post on both so we dont lose any of our wonderful friends xxx

Had lousy day, a very painful mammogram which has left me feeling as if I have been battered - like a piece of cod :rotfl: The lady was very nice but ws pushing me about and even pushing my feet with hers to get me in position - I know its a necessary evil but I ended up in tears. Oh has his spine injection at a hospital miles away tomorrow and Im stressed with that without having my test today. Im due a colonoscopy next week, not for any symptoms just as part of survey so have decided Im not strong enough to cope with it too.

Ginny - I'm so sorry to hear what your going through , im not surprised you ended up in tears today. Sadly whilst it's their job and I totally understand that sometimes it's unavoidable nurses etc often take for granted that they do it every day and it's easy for them not so if you are on the receiving end

I hope oh gets on ok but a strain having to go so far this again makes a hard situation even harder .

Sending you a huge but very gentle hug xxxxxxxxx

Chalky - I agree that Facebook is soooo much easier to get tutorials, links, pictures up - I just can't get the hang if it here and yes I'm all for a new group inspiration , I will never forget that it's you lovely ladies prompting, gentle nudging and expert guidance that made my knitting what it is today, not to mention the emotional support you've all shown during the hard times xxx

Can I just add that if anything in my posts appears "odd" my predictive text seems to be in overdrive !!! I typed "Ginny" and got "funny" ????? Work that out , should I put a disclaimer "anything contained in this post is not meant or intended to cause offence or laughing"

Morning all hope you are well
Hugs to you ginny they aren't pleasant experiences are they, one of mine was quite painful and nurse said she advises people in future to take a couple of painkillers about 1/2 hour before there appt so they kick in and take the edge off it.
F1, I hear what you're saying about predictive messages, DH got me an iPad and it decides what I want to tell you I'm sure! I typed a message up on another thread and it changed the persons name to massive! An hour later when I reread I was mortified, I quickly changed it but daren't comment as I didn't want to dig a hole for myself I just hope she didn't notice or take offence.
Better go and chivvy the lads along. Catch you later

I hate having mammograms too not only are they painful but then there's that wait until you get the results. I was once called back because of an "artifact" on the x- ray. Not sure if the woman who phoned me didn't explain it properly or I was in such a state that I didn't hear (it was probably a speck of dust or a bit of soap on my skin) but it was an extremely stressful time until they redid it and I got the all clear.

I do belong to Facebook but don't use it much.

Hi ladies hope you are all doing ok this morning

I'm after a favour, I'm looking for some "tried and tested" crocheted beanie pattern , I have a preemie one from a blog which is working out fine but would like to increase that to toddler, child, teen, adult - I have tried two from the Internet and a child's 12 month - 3 years is as big as an adult mans ???? They must have large heads in the usa !

The type I'm looking for is just simple trebles worked in the round

Just getting somewhat disheartened that some seem to be coming out so big hence asking if anyone has a tried a tested version

Hope you are all doing well today, thinking of Ginny and hubby and hope he gets on ok xxxx

Ps Mrs m - I'm sorry but I laughed when you said the predictive text changed your word to massive ... Can't believe Ginny last night ended up as "funny" how does the internal dictionary work that out ???? Xx

    Hi all
Just popped in for a quick look-see...

Kathy -hope your OH is feeling better now, shame about the house but I am sure you will have sucess this year
jean - I haven't managed to get into LH for over a year now, can't get into WOOLIGANS either (cant remember my password now its been so long):o
    mrs-moneypenny - lovely words mrs-m and so true x
ginnyknit - ouch! I know exactly what you mean, I had a mammogram on 22nd December and oooo it blinkin well hurt... the result came back a couple of days ago and it was clear...such a relief isn't it? I hope all went well for OH's injection today
    thirzah - bargains don't count ;)
anakat - love the little cat blankets
chalky - sorry to hear about your Aunt such a shame. I had a wander through your blog the other day, some lovely pictures on there and William has grown so much he is a gorgeous little chap x
f1 - what about trying your preemie one with a larger hook and maybe a different ply yarn, that might work for one a couple of sizes larger,

Now to the fb sugestion...I have no experience of it, and am not very confident with even the thought of it after hearing some of the difficulties friends have experienced using it....but saying that maybe I am being a bit too wary and not thinking it through...I will give it some more thought, any help and advice will be most welcome :)

    Love to all Annie xx
off to clear my sig now for 2015

    Hi all.

I have had a think about Facebook. I only just got rid of it in November. I really don't want to go back on there.

As I am only a recent addition to your group and I belong a few others I think I will bow out.

Been busy knitting the little premi short sleeve tops. I have lots of 25 gram double knitting that is rather thin so they are coming out quite tiny. They only take about 18 grams per top so I need a pattern for hats. It is knitting up more like 4 ply.

Does anyone have any premi hat patterns for 4 ply? I think I will find out if the hospital I am going to tomorrow had a maternity department. I never seem to get appointments at hospitals near me.

made these for someone i work with for her new nephew.

if you take the needles down to suit the 4ply wool your usual pattern should be ok nursemaggie, it will just come up smaller.

please dont bow out yet, no decision has been made and ill need someone to keep me company.;)
im a complete luddite when it come to puters and have heard so many fb horror stories i just never wanted to get involved. i know other people have brilliant experiences with it. i just over worry everything.

feeling a bit weird this afty mums just rung to tell me my uncles passed away:(, i havent seen him for years but he was only a couple of years older than me so we played together loads as kids till we moved away as we lived over the road from each other. i keep telling myself hes at peace and ok now as i was told in sept his passing was imminent so its amazing he lasted till today.

Mrs Mp I took a pain killer as you told me last time to do it and I remembered :j Bit better today but still sore. Hubbys procedure cancelled lst minute so will have to re- organise it  but it must have been an emergency for someone else so fair enough.
