It's no wonder shoplifters find it so easy, they obviously know the shops where they can make a quick exit without the alarms going off. I was in Matalan a few months ago and when I went through the exit the alarm went off so I stood waiting for someone to come over and check my bag, after about 30 seconds no one appeared so I went back to the checkout and she said it's ok just go through it's not working. Any shoplifter in the store that day would have done great trade.

i was sup[rised today that our huge new primark store doesnt have alarms fitted.

If you think about the huge turnover, and cheap prices in Primark, and the enormous queues at the tills I don't think it would be worth the extra time and cost for them to tag all the clothes.
