My mums 50th birthday soon and i'm looking to get/do something a little more special than usual.
The problem is she's not really 'into' much i've had a browse at the experience days but the best i can come up with is dinner for 2 (mum&step dad)

I've got a top budget of around £100

She's one of these mums that says 'i don't want a fuss' when really she does and she's been dropping hints 'it's my 50th soon' etc :rotfl:

Anyway what do you get for someone essp your own mum when they aren't really into anything much.
She likes dogs, take that and boyzone but that doesn't give me much to go on!
She's too chicken to do any of the thrill things and not into pampering i'm really stuck please help me :)

hmmm so she is fifty but likes boy bands? hint here - look online and see if any of these are in concert near enough to her birthday. or ronan keating (I have heard him in concert and though I am fifty six next birthday thought he was great), and get her tickets and transport to and from the venue. she wont mind if the concert isnt on her birthday if you give her the tickets then.
personally I prefer heavy metal - but would be absolutely delighted if one of the kids gave me tickets to a performance by one of my favourite bands - even if it was months ahead!

Just because I am very nosy, I would love it if, after her birthday, you let us know what you finally decided to to. :D

    I've been Money Tipped!
Anyone you can pair up with? MIL got a helicopter ride for her 50th - OH bought with SIL £100 each.

My mum had always wanted to see a ballet for her 50th, so OH and I took her to London to see one.
Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
