I want to change the car i've only had for 2 months

I've had my second-hand 2008 Ford Ka for just over 2 months, which I purchased from a main ford dealer for £5,800. I am the second owner.
'What car' tells me that the private value is £5,350 ... or part exchange is £5,070 ... which is quite a drop really from £5,800
I got the Ka as I had only started driving, but now realise it was probably the wrong choice and not the car I wanted. Its fun, but I want a new shape Fiesta which seem to be about 10-13 thousand from a main dealer.
Should I private sale and take the hit, or see if a main ford dealer might give me more for it.

Hello
Try and take it to a dealer for a part exchange valuation and see what they say?
How many miles does your Ka have? Is it a new shape or older shape? As that will also affect prices
Edit - Just wondering why you have changed your mind about the Ka?0 -
Old shape... just under 10,000 miles
Its really fun to drive. Its just not a very mature car. Engine is not very refined, it can rattle quite a bit sometimes on bumpy roads... and its smaller than I would like. I didnt think I would be able to drive or park a bigger car.... but i know I can now:D0 -
When I read the first line I understood why you wanted to change the car...but then you want ANOTHER Ford again?!?:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0

Why not take it back to the dealer you bought it from and get it chopped against a fiesta with them? If your gonna chop it in then these are the people that are more likely to give you most value for it. Take it to another dealer and they will only likely give you glasses trade price for it.0

i seriuosly doubt you'd get offered 5 grand for it even from the same dealer you bought it off.0

If I was offered a car in PX that someone had only owned for 2 months I'd be a bit wary. Even though there is probably nothing wrong with it. The main problem is trying to sell it on to the next owner and getting it past them that the previous owner had it such a short time.
Just had a quick look on autotrader and there are 1400 Ka's under 2 years old. The chepast ones are about 3000 for the base Studio's done between 20-30,000 miles. These are 57 to 08 plates. The cheapest 58 plate was 3995 and that was from a ford garage down South.0 -
I already had a look on autotrader.... I have got a Black zetec climate, and these from dealers are about 5500 to 6500 based on age and mileage.
I'm in no rush really, but i'm not going to px only to have a main ford dealer try to sell it for 1000+ more.
Glass's says Excellent condition: £4680, Average condition: £4210, Below average condition: £37100 -
Get the best of both worlds - sell yours private and get more for it
Just put the word "zetec" into autotrader and narrowed the numbers down to 600 nationally. Cheapest is 08 plate done 23k for erm 4290. Good selection of Zetec Climates for under 4995 from delaers.
Evans Halshaw have 08 plate done 9000 miles for 4894...
you'll probabl;y be offered early 4's for it to be honest.0 -
private it is then!0
