Fun and games with number plates would suggest they're filling the cars up in petrol stations and driving off.

Might be interesting to note down a few of the number plates and models and enter them into the DVLA website to see what it says.

If they're doing this, the DVLA won't show anything amiss;- my number plate got cloned last year, and obviously it was my vehicle registered on the DVLA website.
If I saw a car with different number plates all the time, I would contact the relevant local police department, I'd hate to think some poor innocent car owner receiving umpteen fines for unpaid fuel, CC Charge, and other violation charges.:(

Firstly If they don't own the house, then this would get them kicked out.....

If the cars have no MOT they're in serious trouble.

They're clearly running a business and I doubt they're doing so legally, are they employed? claiming benefits?

Why are they clearly running a business.
Lots of people have day to day carss then a few old "classic" bangers they work on. This is what it sounds like to me.

As for the earlier post about plates. I would suggest the OP is clutching at straws and the number plates are not swapped between the cars and more likely just being taken on/off/swapped with "design" plates.

OP get a life and move on. It does not effect you in any way

Nobody should have to tolerate someone turning their street into a garage forecourt!! I've been in a situation where I couldn't even park at a GF's house because the house on the corner has using every space in the street AND blocking the entrance to the street anyway!!!
If you want to restore "classic" cars then get a bigger house, with a bigger drive!

They had 4 written off MGF's at one point, swapping parts between them to sell the result onto some unsuspecting buyer..... None of the family worked, they were claiming benefits and selling cars cash in hand!

Uh huh and is there a relevance?
The OP is telling us about a family using their own drive and parking the cars legally who are doing nothing wrong.

Its funny how often those who do something the neighbours dont like happen to be on benefits etc

Maybe your GF's neighbours werent happy at you taking up a space! Get off the benefits!
  • Is there a limit of how many cars you can have parked on your drive/in the road outside your home?

At least 4/5 nights a week the house over the road from me has 6 cars on their drive & a large caravan & 3 cars on the street, usually 1 outside my house. You can probably get 4 cars at a push on my drive... I don't actually know how they do it.

It's annoying & an eyesore. They're like the clampits. If they're not working on them, they're moving them & modding them. Can I do anything? (Other than move???)

If they're taxed and insured then its none of your business how many cars they've got unless they're parked on your property. BTW- the road in front of your house isnt your property.
  • They do often park on the verge outside my house, sometimes all night. & it's over grass.

I'm literally looking out my window now to a new car that I've never seen before. I'm wondering if tonight there will now be 10.

Maybe you need to get a life and stop worrying so much about what other people are doing...

No, if they can work at home fixing and selling cars (as an undeclared income) which me, you and the rest of the tax paying nation pay for, then they can damn well get a f*cking job and pay those same taxes....

I cannot tolerate wasters and I cannot tolerate wasters who live the "high life" at my god damn expense!
If I had someone near me parking in my designated parking area, across my drive, blocking the street or anything similar i'd be very amicable up to a point, after which it's gonna get very ugly indeed.
