  • Yes, I think its good to recommend it for what it does but it doesn't replace CDs etc - you never own the tracks on your playlist.

    Also, it's not certain that the free service, even with adverts and limited time access, will survive. It doesn't make financial sense apparently. Article on the BBC site a few weeks ago....

    my mate son sent me a invite code to join now my son wanna join to,so how do you get the invite codes in first place?brill way of listening to a lot o good sounds!but im still bit confused how to look for these codes,do you have to sign up and pay before you get offerd these codes?soz to sound dumb,but got my son on me case now so the advice would be good,the free spoty is not enuf for him ,he plays to much,

    An alternative to consider is we7 which can be found at www.we7.com but I don't believe their catalogue is nearly as big.

    The thing about we7 is that no sign up is required.

    I love Spotify. If you can afford it, I highly rate the premium service. More content, better sound quality, available on your phone, no adverts...

    Being able to sync it with your Facebook profile (Spotify social) is awesome, too. I love nosing through other peoples playlists.

    Thanks OP, I've signed up for the free version and I may upgrade to premium so I can use it on my Iphone. One problem though - when I try to connect to facebook and find friends I'm just getting a blank window....can anyone help?

    i have signed up to we7,its not bad just the adds that spin you out coz instead of hearing a decent tune you get to hear some mad loud crazy voice advertizing dont last long so not to bad,and each time you login it help earn a add free day
