Go here for Spotify freeness...:)
If anyone needs access for longer I have a small number of invites - PM me your email address and I can invite the first 5 requesters...
Spotify is great - I've not bought a CD since, keeps me going when I'm on my own in the office.0 -
It's hardly just like YouTube. I'm a classical music fan - you show me where on YouTube I can find complete albums at 160KBps streaming rate, with multiple recordings of almost every piece I've ever searched for. Not just the odd track or video at some crummy bit rate that someone's uploaded, but a huge library of new and historical recordings from all the major record labels to listen to for free.
Spotify is *much* more than YouTube. Sure, if all you want is to be able to listen to the odd track from the charts, then YouTube will probably be fine. But a massive, freely listenable music library it certainly isn't. Spotify is. I'd recommend it to anyone."In all affairs it's a healthy thing now and then to hang a question mark on the things you have long taken for granted." - Bertrand Russell0 -

I've got the free unlimited version of spotify from an invite kindly given by fellow MSE'er. :j I'd been waiting for an invite for ever.
Its fab even with the adverts, the library is vast and my playlists huge. I have downloaded it onto the desktop and laptop and my son loves it also, saves loads of money when he listens to songs for couple of days then gets bored.
If i didn't have the unlimited spotify i would defo sign up for the new Spotify Open as 20 hours a month is quite a lot really.
Jango, and Last FM are not a patch on it

Can't believe anyone being negative about Spotify - it's simply marvellous and - being free - excellently money-saving. The ads are way shorter and about as frequent as the ones on the tv. What's not to like?0

I love spotify as well.
Was lucky enough to have my friend at work buckle who couldn't wait anymore for an invite, back when you had to put forward your email address and hope you were invited.
So she signed up for it and sent me an invite, so i've got the free version.
Bit disappointed i can't use it on my mobile as would love it, but seeing i have it for free i don't wanna pay for it just to get rid of adverts and have it on my mobile.Mummy to two girls: October 2013 and February 20160 -
I also should have said that I've been a Spotify free user since it was in beta, and I've got a couple of invites left; if anyone wants one, PM me."In all affairs it's a healthy thing now and then to hang a question mark on the things you have long taken for granted." - Bertrand Russell0
